There’s something in the water… and no one in Hollywood is safe! From Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez revealing their decision to split, to Kim K and Kanye calling it quits on their six-year marriage, see the recent celebrity breakups that totally blew us away.
Grimes and Elon Musk
The Canadian singer, 33, is making reference to Musk's SpaceX contract with NASA to see if Jupiter’s moon, Europa, is inhabitable. This comes after the news of the couple's split, after three years of dating. The couple continue to co-parent their one-year-old son X Æ A-Xii, and are apparently on good terms. “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms,” Musk, 50, told the outlet. “It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.” Grimes has in the past said that she wants to help Musk colonize Mars, and do “manual labor until death."
Miguel and Nazanin Mandi
Dale Moss and Clare Crawley
Amelia Gray Hamlin and Scott Disick
The Days of Our Lives star and original Melrose Place alum reacted to the news with a simple smile emoji on a post by the fan account Queens of Bravo. While the 20-year-old model and 38-year-old reality star were originally linked back in October 2020, it was Hamlin that apparently called it quits. Hamlin shared in her Instagram story a cryptic message saying, "“Never settle for less. Not with your jobs, your friends, and especially not with your heart,” the statement read on Sept. 6. “Continue to seek what you are looking for and do not shrink yourself for the sake of other people. You deserve the best.”
Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook
But only days later, the star dropped any mention of Cook from her Instagram bio. (Yikes.) Cuoco and Cook were first linked in 2016 and got engaged the next year. The now-estranged duo exchanged vows in 2018. Cuoco was previously engaged to addictions specialist Josh Resnik and was married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2015.
Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll
“Austen’s behavior during the shutdown was heavy on the drinking, sleeping until noon and then playing video games,” LeCroy said during a December 2020 episode of the show. “Sorry, but major turnoff for me. We are on two different wavelengths here.” She later told Us Weekly, “We are not together right now. I am 1,000 percent single, and so is he. So, ladies, if you want him, you can have him.”
Kanye West and Irina Shayk
Pete Davidson and Phoebe Dynevor
Fans didn't see the split coming, as the couple only just made their relationship official at Wimbledon last month where they kissed and coordinated outfits. It looks like it's time to play 'Thank U, Next!"
Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish
She added, "Inherently we fear an ending. To lose what you have because you got what you wanted. To be attached to the expectation of the outcome. The great Unknown. What if we chose not to fear but instead, to love. If that most delicate and vulnerable last flicker to the flame became another type of furnace entirely."
The pair, who met on the set of Big Sur in 2011, exchanged vows in 2013.
Naomie Olindo and Metul Shah
Sara Ramirez and Ryan DeBolt
Last year, the activist (who came out as bisexual in 2016), said they were non-binary and use both she/they pronouns. At the conclusion of their breakup revelation on Instagram, Ramirez included various LGBTQ+-friendly charities people could donate to.

Minka Kelly and Trevor Noah
Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr.
Kary Britingham and Eduardo

Braunwyn Windham-Burke and girlfriend Kirs
Sarah Shahi and Steve Howe
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
Apparently, Lopez, 51, and A-Rod, 45, have been on the rocks for a while, according to Page Six. The fact that their wedding had been postponed combined with the knowledge the couple has already been attending therapy together should help relieve the shock of this news.
Good thing they didn't follow through with marriage, otherwise, their love would have costed many things. But in other news, Jenny from the Block is back on the market!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Back in January, Page Six reported that “divorce is imminent.” West reportedly spent the holidays separately from the Kardashians at his expansive Wyoming ranch (though he was there at Kardashian's lavish private island 40th birthday party in October). While there had been rumours about the marriage being in trouble for months (particularly during West’s unsuccessful run for president), the couple was “keeping it low-key but they are done.” Multiple sources mentioned that Kardashian had celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser on retainer; Wasser represented stars such as Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, Gwen Stefani, as well as Kardashian, in her prior divorce.
The couple first got together in 2012 and got engaged in 2013. The two share four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1.
Ashley Benson and G-Eazy
James Marsters and Patricia Rahman
Rebel Wilson and Jacob Busch
Elliot Page and Emma Portner
The couple reportedly first met via social media when Page stumbled on one of Portner's dancing videos. They made their relationship public in 2017 and tied the knot in 2018.
When Page revealed on social media that he was trans, one of his biggest supporters was Portner. She wrote "I am so proud of @elliotpage" in her Instagram caption where she shared Page's news on her own feed.
Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck
Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman
While neither of them has commented on their social media about the recent split, Kravitz posted a meme on her Instagram Stories that was captioned, "People places and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good." She also posted a few photos on her Instagram feed with the same caption, "new year/little thing."
Lena Waithe and Alana Mayo
During Waithe's appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November of 2019, she opened up about the couple's intimate and secret wedding in San Francisco. "We snuck and we did it," the star revealed on the talk show. The duo got engaged back in 2017 when Waith proposed to Mayo in Tokyo during Thanksgiving.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis
The couple became engaged in January 2013 when Sudeikis popped the question over the holidays. In October 2013, they revealed that they were having their first child together.
While the former couple has ended their nearly decade-long relationship, they are co-parenting their two children together — Otis Alexander, 6, and Daisy Josephine, 4.
Erika and Tom Girardi
“After much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi,” she said in a statement to E!News. “This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together."
Jonah Hill and Gianna Santos
Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich
Cardi B and Offset
Endings are always sad — and according to Us Weekly, the filing states that the marriage is "irretrievably broken" — so, it sounds like this relationship is actually done. Sending good healing energy to the rapper!
Christina Ricci and James Heerdegen
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock
Scott Disick and Sofia Richie
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse
Shipped as "Bughead" — it's a real shame this showmance has come to an end. Of course, according to Page Six, Reinhart and Sprouse remain good friends.
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green
Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy
Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson
Kristin Cavallari And Jay Cutler
Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp
Pete Davidson and Kaia Gerber
The SNL funny guy and Cindy Crawford's 18-year-old daughter have put an end to their whirlwind romance after three whole months.
Yet another lipstick stain in Davidson's collection of ridiculously attractive exes that include Andie MacDowell's daughter Margaret Qualley, Kate Bekinsale and Ariane Grande (to name a few).
