Finding love can be tough, it’s true, but finding love as a celebrity? Apparently, tougher! Maybe it’s the jet setting life that makes it tricky to find someone on land, or perhaps it’s the pressure of lights, camera, action that stops both men and women in the celebrity dating sphere from locking down a suitable life mate. Not surprisingly, some celebrities have found the one while on the job. From directors, writers, co-stars to the behind-the-scenes crew, celebrity love thrives when there’s a common ground between them. We won’t be covering scandalous love affairs like that of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Instead, we’re gushing over the relationships that have stood the test of time long after the director yells, “Cut!”

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer
In 2008, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer fell in love while filming a steamy HBO vampire series—you might have heard of it? The stars of True Blood fell for each other almost immediately but decided to keep it under wraps so as not to disturb the set or cause a media frenzy. This was during a time when everybody was already talking about the on-screen chemistry between actors and the storylines so sexy; it made us all question if falling for a vamp was worth sinking our teeth into. They wed in 2010 and are still together today with twin children Poppy and Charlie. Paquin, in particular, has been vocal about the couple’s need for privacy, as they generally don’t discuss their home life with the media. However, the actress has been candid in the past about identifying as bisexual and the negative stereotypes that come along once you finally find love.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes
Incredibly private couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes met while filing The Place Beyond the Pines back in 2011, and that’s about all we know. Just kidding, sort of. Seriously, these two have kept much of their relationship so close to their hearts that digging into the depths of the internet will still force you to come up dry when it comes to factoids and sweet musing about this intriguing celebrity couple. What we do know is that Gosling and Mendes have two children together, Esmeralda and Amada, and are (hopefully) still together today.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell
If ever there was a celebrity partnership that has stood the test of time, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell would be it. The star couple first met in 1966 while filming The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, but Russell was only 16 years old at the time, and Hawn was 21, so love didn’t exactly bloom that year. They would reconnect in 1983 on the set of Swing Shift, and that’s when love came to stay. Although they have never been married, Hawn and Russell are proud parents of son Wyatt and have blended their famous family with children from previous marriages, including Kate and Oliver Hudson.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar
Kids of the ‘90s continue to stan Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar since seeing them on the screen together in the 1997 classic film I Know What You Did Last Summer (and later in Scooby Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed). But these teen dreams wouldn’t officially get together until 2000 when they had dinner plans with a mutual friend who missed her flight and ultimately left the two stars on an accidental date. It was then that the two fell in love and would later become one of the happiest and most successful couples we get to see gush over each other on Instagram. Two decades later, the stars of your favourite ‘90s slasher film are still going strong and are leading a blessed life with their two children, Charlotte and Rocky.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser
After starring side-by-side in 2012 for the fifth season of Mad Men, Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser begin a very private relationship. The couple didn’t start dating until the season wrapped, and wouldn’t reveal their relationship to the public until they walked the red carpet together at the Macallan Masters of Photography opening in New York City. Six months into their debut as a couple, they became pregnant with their son. Like most successful celebrity partnerhships, Bledel and Kartheiser have remained mum on the topic of their relationship and have openly expressed that they plan to keep it that way for the better health of their union.

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli
When Samira Wiley read the episode where her Orange Is the New Black character Poussey enters a rap battle, she was intrigued by the person who wrote it. The hit Netflix show writer and producer, Lauren Morelli, was responsible for writing the episode in addition to the rap, and when Wiley met with her to discuss it, she knew she had found someone special. At that time in 2012, Morelli was married to a man but had begun questioning her sexuality. After becoming close friends on set, Morelli would confide in Wiley about her sexual identity for two years. After Morelli’s divorce from her husband was final, the two explored a relationship out of friendship and found true love. In 2017 in Palm Springs, the couple wed the same place where Morelli had proposed after Wiley’s request that she ask them to take the plunge once she felt like she was ready for marriage again.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons
In 2017, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons met while starring as a married couple in the second season of Fargo. Their romance wouldn’t begin until a year and a half later after the Bring It On star had ended her four-year relationship with boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund. Dunst and Friday Night Lights alum, Plemons would stay up late running lines together while on set, and swapped stories about their experiences as child stars. It was there that a relationship blossomed, and by 2017, the two were engaged. The couple had stayed fairly quiet about their relationship but introduced their son, Ennis, to the world in 2019 when he accompanied Dunst's at her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith
The year was 1994 when Will Smith met future wife, Jada Pinkett while working together on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Even though Smith felt a connection with Pinkett, he would marry Sherry Fletcher and later welcome his first son, Trey. After the couple split, Smith and Pinkett began dating and decided to wed in 1997 when Pinkett discovered she was pregnant with their first child, Jaden. The popular couple has been very candid about their marriage, particularly Pinkett, who spoke openly about the time they decided to separate to find themselves. On her Facebook series, Red Table Talk, Pinkett revealed that she dated singer August Alsina while the couple was separated. On the same show, she also discussed how she never wished to marry and only agreed to marry Smith because they were pregnant. She recalls crying her way down the aisle because she was so frustrated with the situation. The couple's oversharing has been a topic of media outlets everywhere, but living their truth as life partners has proven to be successful as they’ve stayed together despite a handful of years when they explored life outside of their partnership.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick
Another couple that has proven you can find love in the spotlight is Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. They initially met in the ‘70s when Bacon was doing a play that Sedgwick was attending with her brother. Bacon is seven years older than Sedgwick, and since she was only a 12-year-old fan of his at the time, sparks weren’t necessarily flying between the two. However, when they began working together on the PBS film Lemon Sky in 1987, something had shifted. Bacon proposed to Sedgwick on Christmas eve in 1987, and they walked down the aisle by 1988. They welcomed their first child, Travis, in 1989 and daughter Sosie in 1992 and have enjoyed working together in front and behind the camera several times throughout their respective careers.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem
This sultry couple knew each other for years before they ever considered dating. Back in 1992, the two actors met while filming Spanish comedy-drama Jamón Jamón. It wasn’t until several years later in 2008 that the two stars would see each other in a different light while working on the Woody Allen film, Vicky Christina Barcelona. The couple, who are notoriously private, didn’t make a public appearance together until 2010 at the Goya Awards, better known as the Spanish equivalent of the Oscars. They tied the knot in secret that same year and have maintained that level of privacy ever since.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
Fans of That ‘70s Shows loved to hate the often annoying relationship between on-screen lovers Kelso and Jackie, but when actors Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher began dating 14 years after the show aired, we couldn’t help but fall in love with them. At the time of casting, Kunis was only 14 years old. The show's creators requested the actors be at least 18 years old, so Kunis lied about her age, stating she was turning 18 without being specific about when. This meant that Kunis would have her first real kiss on-screen with her co-star and future husband. In 2005, Kutcher married Demi Moore, and Kunis was still in a long-term relationship with Macaulay Culkin. The pair eventually split in 2011, the same year Kutcher announced his divorce from Moore. It wasn’t until 2012 that the former on-screen pair could catch up backstage at the 69th Golden Globe Awards. They began dating not long after that, and by 2013, Kutcher had put a ring on it. The happy couple now shares a life with their daughter Wyatt and son Dimitri.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz
Another stunning Hollywood couple that has lasted is Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz. But this love story took 16 years to unfold. The couple met in the mid-90s as university classmates long before they became stars. Years later, in 2010, they were cast to play a married couple in the film Dream House. Their respective relationships were coming to an end at that time, which allowed them to explore feelings outside of their former friendship. They secretly wed six months later in New York City. Weisz has been open about her view on marriage in the past. She spent nine years with her ex, director Darren Aronofsky and had a song with him, but the couple never intended to marry. But it looks like Mr. Bond is Weisz’s, Mr. Right.
