Stemming off of the clean-girl aesthetic, milk nails lean into that delicate, subtle style that’s taken over the beauty sphere as of late. From Lizzo and Hailey Bieber to Zoë Kravitz, all of the trendiest celebrities are ready to embrace this hazy pink manicure.

What are milk nails?
Milk nails are like a subdued version of the classic ‘90s French manicure – which should come as no surprise, considering modern takes on the Frenchie have been popping up all over TikTok for the last few months. But, with milk nails, instead of a distinct contrast between the pale pink nail bed and the stark white tip, you blend the two shades together for a stunning, neutral polish.
This semi-opaque milky hue balances out a harsh blocked mani like the Frenchie with a neutral, “clean-girl” polish. It’s also much subtler than most trends we’ve seen lately (we’re looking at you, glazed-donut nails).

Quick to hop on the trend was ‘90s queen and Friends star Jennifer Anniston, who’s been sporting the refined look while promoting Murder Mystery 2, as Vogue details.
Manicure trendsetter Selena Gomez has also obviously hopped on the trend with a set of short-and-simple nails. Interestingly enough, we’ve also seen Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber – who are rumoured to be in a feud with Gomez – sport milk manicures of their own.
What other celebs have worn milk nails? From Lizzo’s stiletto white manicure to Kim Kardashian razor-edge milky claws to Zoë Kravitz’s shimmering pink nails, this manicure seems to be the look that’s on the tip of everyone’s fingers tongues.
