There are a few inevitable truths that I’ve come to accept in life: time passes, summer heat eventually cools into fall breezes and Hailey Bieber will deliver a new dessert-themed manicure trend to try this season. Behold what just might be the yummiest nail trend for fall 2022: Hailey Bieber’s chocolate glazed-donut nails.
While we spent our spring and summer lusting over the Rhode founder’s shimmery pink glazed-donut nails, Hailey recently transitioned the pale-pink manicure into autumn by incorporating a milk-chocolatey brown base.
As reported by Glamour UK, Hailey shared the new nail look via TikTok with a post showcasing her long, glossy tips: “I know we’re tired of my constant color switch up but… the chocolate glazed donut nails are really hitting for me for fall,” she wrote.

How to get the chocolate glazed-donut nails look
According to Glamour UK, the chocolate look was (as with the original glazed donut nails) achieved by nail artist Zola Ganzorigt. The artist captured the chocolate-glazed look by using a light caramel brown shade paired with an opalescent top coat.
If you want to get her look at home, you can try adapting the routine with these steps:
- Start with a base coat in a chocolate-inspired light brown shade — we like Sally Hansen – Insta-Dri Fast-Dry Nail Color in Taupe to Go (Amazon, $4).
- Apply one coat of a clear gel, like the Nail Labo Presto Color Gel (Nail Labo, $25).
- Go over the nails with a layer of the OPI Chrome Effects No Cleanse Top Coat for the shiny, glazed look.
- Add a chrome effect on top — Zola opts for OPI Chrome Effects in Tin Man Can from the brand’s professional line, but you can try this dupe (Holographic Chrome Nail Powder, Amazon, $32).
Finish with a top coat to help your nails stay shiny (OPI High Gloss Shine Top Coat, Amazon, $13).
Not into the shimmery, glazed look for fall? Kehlani’s moody blue nails or Selena Gomez’s olive-green mani are also screaming “fall!” this season.
