Awards season is here, and the stars have really been serving on the red carpet so far. At the 29^th annual Screen Actors Guild – or SAG – Awards this weekend, celebrities broke out extravagant gowns and jaw-dropping dresses.

From Zendaya’s eye-catching pink rose Valentino look to Aubrey Plaza’s daring metallic Michael Kors gown, bold colours dominated the red carpet. Some celebs opted for a more classic look, with stars like Jenna Ortega donning all-black dresses with a gothy twist.

Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega channeled high-fashion Wednesdaycore on the red carpet with her black asymmetrical dress, featuring a glamorous thigh-high slit. With her hair in cascading waves and a classy diamond necklace finishing off the look, Ortega brought elegance with a gothy edge.

Julia Garner

Known for her monochromatic looks as Anna Delvey on Inventing Anna, Julia Garner added her own quirky twist to high-fashion with her SAG Awards gown. Garner broke out a custom bronze Gucci dress with captivating pleats and a Little Mermaid-esque twist. Featuring shell detailing and a dramatic train, the dress worked perfectly with Garner’s Irene Neuwirth jewels.

Zendaya

What would a list of best-dressed celebs be without our red carpet queen, Zendaya? The Euphoria star took to the SAG Awards in a jaw-dropping, blooming pink silk Valentino Haute Couture dress. All eyes were on Zendaya, who donned stunning jewels, a retro bob and the bustier gown, which featured 190 elegant rosettes.

Aubrey Plaza

The White Lotus’ Aubrey Plaza turned heads with her daring gold Michael Kors gown. With a criss-cross halter neckline, a thigh-high slit and a large cutout, Plaza’s look was one of the flashiest of the evening. She finished off the outfit with some strappy gold heels and stunning auburn jewels.

Cate Blanchett

Nominated for her unnerving role in Tár, Cate Blanchett’s ensemble black gown with a lacey neckline had quite the backstory. Blanchett was ready to embrace sustainable fashion with her Giorgio Armani Privé gown, which featured a refashioned piece from her 2014 Golden Globes and 2018 Cannes Film Festival look, as The Hollywood Reporter details.

Quinta Brunson

Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson has had her name on the tip of everyone’s tongues with her buzz-worthy show, but now she’s made waves with her shell-shaped gown. The scallop-inspired Jean-Louis Sebaji dress boasted shimmering black fringe and a stunning embroidered white clam boustier.

Cara Delevingne

Model and Only Murders in the Building star brought it to the red carpet with a sophisticated black long-sleeved Carolina Herrera jumpsuit. Roses were a theme on the red carpet, as Delevingne’s extravagant overskirt met at the bodice with a pair of fabric rosettes. With classic, slicked hair, a bold red lip and a De Beeres necklace, Delevingne truly channeled elegance at the SAG Awards.

Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh has really owned the red carpet this year, following the success of Everything Everywhere All At Once. At the SAG Awards, Yeoh broke out a unique Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown featuring explosive golden sequins atop a classic, body-hugging black dress. Yeoh finished off the fun-loving look with some yellow Moussaief diamonds.

Meghann Fahy

Meghann Fahy, known for her role as Daphne in The White Lotus, donned a white shimmering cutout dress on the SAG Awards red carpet. Created by Ralph Lauren, the stunning one-shouldered gown was decked out with an asymmetrical cutout, which Fahy accessorized with some eye-catching Cartier diamonds.

Ariana DeBose

Ariana DeBose stunned on the red carpet with her gender-bending look. The elegant pink pantsuit, made by Prabal Gurung and Omega, boasted a unique structure and plunging neckline that framed her figure perfectly.
