Arrivederci amici! It’s almost time to pack our bags and set sail to another The White Lotus hotel, but which one will we be making reservations for this time? It looks like the Golden Globe-nominated series is officially returning for a third season, but HBO is yet to confirm the new location — which gives us boujee globetrotters plenty of time to make our predictions on where the next vacation disaster will take place.
*Note: Some spoilers for seasons one and two of The White Lotus ahead.

Where will season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’ be filmed?
As ET Canada notes, when it comes to the new season’s location, “the possibilities appear to be endless — just as long as they can film at a Four Seasons location, like they did with the first two instalments.” Seasons one and two of The White Lotus took place at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Italy, respectively. It’s safe to guess that season three will keep up the trend of picking the most glamorous resorts for their rich and famous guests — and with over 100 Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts worldwide, the possibilities of where season three could take place are really anyone’s guess.

Our predictions for where season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’ be filmed
While it’s still anyone’s guess, we’ve done the hard work of analyzing these five locations and why they’re the top contenders to host the next batch of unhinged socialites.
Maldives
This one might be a little “on the nose”, but in the finale of The White Lotus, Meghann Fahy’s character Daphne mentions where they should vacation next – and she says the Maldives. I know what you’re thinking, season three’s location can’t be that obvious. But sometimes it’s the most obvious answers that yield the most surprising results. The Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru in Baa, Atoll, Maldives is a gorgeous oasis far off from the mainland. This could be an interesting twist where all the guests are trapped during a tropical storm and murders are happening as the show progresses. But who’s to say, I’m not getting paid to write the show.
Bali
From Hawaii to Sicily, The White Lotus cast has been venturing across the world – which honestly makes things way more interesting story wise. It seems only fitting that the next location would stick to the fantasy getaway theme of hot sun and hot people. Bali has long been a tourist (trap) of sorts for a longtime, with people complaining that the amount of tourism has negatively affected the locals’ lifestyle. This could make for an interesting season touching on the social and environmental impacts of mass tourism in Southeast Asia.

The French Alps
Taking an icy turn, I’m thinking it would be fun to host season three somewhere cold – who doesn’t love the après-ski vibe? Les Chalets du Mont d’Arbois, Megève, Four Seasons Hotel near Chamonix in France sets the perfect setting for a chilly murder by a gorgeous hotel. Skiing, après-skiing and steamy saunas would be an ideal substitute for the lack of blistering sun and tan lines.
Casablanca
When I think of the name Casablanca, immediately my mind goes to that 1942 film of the same name – chic, noir, edgy and romantic. Morocco has been on everyone’s radar in the past decade with more people visiting every year. I think Moroccan architecture, history and lifestyle would make for a glamourous backdrop to an impending murder mystery. Not to mention the Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca is giving main character energy all on its own.

Costa Rica
You’ve probably seen Millennials flocking to Costa Rica since the digital nomad lifestyle has become more popular. This might be a fun way to include a ton of woke rich Millennials wanting to “find themselves” (into trouble) in the deep forests and gorgeous coastlines at the Four Seasons at Peninsula Papagayo. I think it would be a fun way to poke fun at Millennials and their obsession with self-discovery. As a Millennial myself, I would absolutely love to get dragged for this.

Either way, wherever the next departure might be, I’m sure it will be full of glitz, glamour and gore – as to be expected from the five-star services of a White Lotus hotel.
