When it came to looks, last night’s 2023 Golden Globes, hosted by Jerrod Carmichael, delivered.

Selena Gomez, who received her first Golden Globe nomination this year for Only Murders in the Building, was a style showstopper in a black velvet Valentino Haute Couture gown finished with voluminous sleeves in a deep plum hue. As for her date? The Rare Beauty founder brought her 9-year-old sister, Gracie, as her plus one.

While she may not have walked the red carpet, Rihanna definitely nailed the assignment when it came to Golden Globes fashion this year. The singer (and soon-to-be Super Bowl halftime show performer), who was nominated for best original song for “Lift Me Up” in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, wowed at the event in a black gown, Schiaparelli Haute Couture stole and Cartier jewellry.

The actress took home the award for best performance by an actress in a motion picture for Everything Everywhere All at Once, she had one of the most impactful acceptance speeches of the evening and she looked incredible in a strapless, tiered midnight-blue Armani Privé peplum gown that shimmered with embroidered crystals and sequins.
