After a year of fewer red carpets, award shows, film premieres and events, it’s a holiday miracle that we made it this far, poking delicate jabs at celebrity fashion. We can’t guarantee that fashion Santa suits will come to us in abundance this season, but we will most definitely be inundated with enough silver, glitter and gold to make our eyes hurt — and hunnies, we are here for it! Whether they like it or not, there’s still an entire month left to seek out the celebs who wore it worst, and we can’t think of anything else we’d want during this most festive time of year.

December is a time for celebration and coming together with loved ones. It’s also a time of reflection and giving thanks to the things that brought us joy in the last 12 months. Even though the red carpets were collecting dust for the better half of the year, we must admit that nothing brought us more joy than watching celebrities make poor style choices in front of the entire world — or at least — the whole internet. So, please, join us in this year’s final fashion romp and thank you for following along. See you in the new year!

Katy Perry, December 29, 2021

Katy recently debuted her Las Vegas residency show PLAY at Resorts World Las Vegas. The costumes she brought to the stage remind us of the beginning of her career when her bubble gum pop ensembles sparkled and delighted the wackier they became. However, this DIY soda pop dress has run its course, and we’re not hoping for an encore.

Paris Jackson, December 29, 2021

This month, Paris has been a repeat offender, and we’re not ashamed to bring her fashion fail to justice once again. The star attended the grand opening of Carversteak at Resorts World Las Vegas, looking like she was ready for bed. Even though red carpet lingerie looks have been all the rage this year, this one doesn’t get our seal of approval.

Courtney Mazza, December 29, 2021

There was another style stink at the grand opening of Carversteak and, in this case, we have leather to blame. Saved by the Bell alum Mario Lopez attended the event with his wife Courtney, who showed up in a tube top onesie with bellbottoms and, quite frankly, we’d prefer to never see this outfit again.

Jada Pinkett Smith, December 18, 2021

Jada showed up as the lady in red when she walked the green carpet at The Matrix Resurrections premiere, and we have to agree — she’s stunning. But when it comes to fashion, you can be stunning and still fail, and that’s how Niobe greeted her new reality on this list.

Some may say the fashion rules don’t apply when you’re entering The Matrix, but around here, we make the rules and those rules state that Ellen Hollman’s dress is a fail. She’s serving us Medieval Halloween chic, and all we can think about is where the chute comes out after we pull those strings.

There was another fashion miss at The Tragedy Of Macbeth premiere. The Oscar winner knows how to work a good print, but no amount of design work can save her from the fashion offence that brought her here. The pink socks and sandals have to go, Franny!

Do you know who Maisie Smith is? With an outfit like this, it almost doesn’t matter. But for those who are curious, Smith is a UK actress famous for her longtime role in the soap opera EastEnders. Perhaps more interesting is Smith’s — shall we say modern? — snow bunny look she wore to the gala screening of Spider-Man: No Way Home. We hope she adds an extra layer before heading to the slopes.

We’re so glad Rita Ora could make time in her busy schedule to swing by the premiere of Being The Ricardos before heading to brunch with the gals. Looking too cool in her shades, it appeared to be just a typical day for the singer and actress, and her laundry day attire is screaming IDGAF.

Ariana Grande, Decemeber 14, 2021

At the risk of being cancelled for calling out our beloved pop star, we’re adding Ariana to the mix for this sunny disaster. The TV judge and singer hit the stage at the live finale of The Voice wearing a yellow tent dress that did nothing but distract us from her performance with Kid Cudi. It’s safe to say she won’t be getting our vote this season.

We hate to say it, but you know when a celebrity has been around long enough that they kind of give up? That’s the vibe we got from Anne Hathaway when she showed up to the MoMA Film Benefit wearing this simple dress. It’s actually so boring that we really have nothing left to say about it.

You may be asking yourself why Megan Thee Stallion is anywhere near a fashion fails list. But as we’ve mentioned before, no celebrity or performer is safe from a potential fashion flop. The famous rapper made it too easy for us when she performed on stage in a disco ball-inspired cowgirl getup at this year’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball event.

The cast of This Is Us has wrapped up the emotional series and hit the red carpet for the premiere of season six. Lisa Loeb, December 12, 2021

In the 1990s, Lisa Loeb wasn’t necessarily adored for her fashion sense. Instead, she became synonymous with karaoke machines everywhere with her hit song “Stay (I Missed You),” made famous by another classic ’90s staple — the film Reality Bites. Despite her notable fame, this outfit she wore to the premiere of Sing 2 definitely isn’t making its one to the number one spot.

At the height of its popularity, Sex and the City was widely known for its fashion risks that almost always paid off, but nothing could be less true about the creamsicle prairie girl dress Cynthia Nixon wore to the And Just Like That… premiere. Nixon really buttoned up her look for the event, and we are all left gasping for air at the sight of it. Somebody call Patricia Fields because this red carpet needs her help!

After seeing all the fabulous outfits Ashley Park wore on Emily In Paris, our expectations were perhaps a bit too high for The Hollywood Reporter‘s Women In Entertainment Gala. From the star print pattern to the multiple textures and layers, it’s clear that Park raided a preteens closet before heading out for the night. And that includes the high heel sneakers.

Paris Jackson, December 7, 2021

It isn’t easy to walk in the shadow of a fashion icon like her dad Michael Jackson, but Paris Jackson has always danced to the beat of her own drum. Her intention to stand out wherever fashion is concerned is a noble one, but her dress at the People’s Choice Awards looks like a curtain that was pulled from a window and fashion as a dress — and there’s no hiding that from anyone.

There’s a time and a place for feathers, and it’s not at the People’s Choice Awards. It’s unclear if Ginnifer Goodwin was stopping by the awards show after leaving a cabaret club, but if the sequins and feather are any indications, the Once Upon a Time star is living a double life full of jazz hands and chair dancing.

Christina Aguilera, December 7, 2021

Popstar Christina Aguilera took us back in time at the People’s Choice Awards. The singer was honoured with the Music Icon of 2021 Award and performed a medley of her biggest hits with multiple outfit changes, including this infamous twist on her costume from the “Dirrty” music video (circa 2002). Sadly, her new take on an old classic is feeling more like a WWE SmackDown costume than music video chic.

Did Archie Andrews’ mom leave the law firm for the classroom? Because the look Molly picked for the world premiere of Nightmare Alley is giving us some serious teacher vibes. It feels like, any minute now, she is going to lean over a desk and tell us to “keep it down,” and we all know she is way cooler than that.

Slinking in right before December officially started is Anne Heche at the premiere of Netflix’s The Unforgivable. We couldn’t resist bringing Anne into the fold this month because, well, just look at that ensemble! She totally robbed the 2000s-era Disney stars of their wardrobes and slapped it all together to call it an outfit. And the best part? The sheer volume of confidence Anne exudes in this delusional piece of fashion history.

Social media personality Kelli Erdmann almost had us swooning with the perfect dress to choreograph her next TikTok video. Sadly, we lost our footing when we got to the bottom of the situation. Erdmann wore Crocs — everyone’s favourite questionable footwear — to the Footwear News Achievement Awards, which should make sense, but there’s not enough “like” buttons in the world to let this look go viral.

Something we’ll remember all too well is this outfit Sadie debuted at a Kate Spade event in New York City that made us do a double-take because — that girl is a woman now, and we have mixed feelings. From Stranger Things to starring in Taylor Swift’s dreamy short film, All Too Well, little Sadie is growing up in front of us, and we might be OK, but we’re not fine at all.
