Have you ever wondered how the guests on Below Deck and its spin-offs can afford to charter a yacht?

From Housewives to The Bachelor contestants to the founder of Club Penguin, there have been some pretty rich guests aboard the yachts on the Below Deck franchises.

So, we’ve decided to put together a (non-exhaustive) list of some of the most popular Below Deck guests alongside their estimated net worth (in USD) at the time of writing, according to online sources like Celebrity Net Worth.

Alexis Bellino’s estimated net worth: $1.5 million

The Real Housewives of Orange County star definitely made waves with her appearance on Below Deck season 7 with her then-boyfriend, Andy Bohn. Alexis hopped aboard with Andy shortly after her divorce from Jim Bellino was finalized – and a major plot point revolved around their endless PDA on deck. “She just got divorced, and I don’t know if she’s trying to prove it to her ex or her friends that she is doin’ fine,” chief stew Kate Chastain exclaimed in the episode. “But you can be doin’ fine without having a tongue down your throat.”

A good chunk of Alexis Bellino’s estimated net worth comes from her salary on RHOC. At the peak of her time on the series, her salary was apparently a whopping $175,000 per season. She’s also accumulated cash through television appearances and small business ventures such as her clothing lines Alexis Couture and Alexis Casual, and the Sky Zone Trampoline Park locations she opened with her ex-husband.

Heather Gay’s estimated net worth: $1.7 million

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star very recently appeared on the debut season of Bravo’s new Below Deck spinoff, Below Deck Adventure. Climbing aboard with co-star Angie Harrington and friends, Gay was ready to have fun on the show, and in the trailer she even yells, “This is where we hot tub and have sex!” In a recent exclusive interview with us, chief stew Faye Clarke explains that she is still friends with Gay and even traveled to Salt Lake City to pay her and some of her friends a visit.

After marrying into a family that came from Mormon pioneers, Heather Gay has left the religion and made a path of her own with her business, Beauty Lab + Laser. The successful medical spa now boasts multiple locations, and is a major source of income for the mom-and-wife-turned-entrepreneur, adding to her reported $1.7 million net worth.

Cynthia Bailey’s estimated net worth: $2.5 million

Yet another Housewives and Below Deck crossover: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey chartered Eros on Below Deck season 3 with Claudia Jordan. Though they were never able to leave the dock due to inclement weather, they had such a good time that Bailey has told Cheat Sheet that she’d love to head back to the Caribbean on Captain Lee’s boat, even though he’s since had to make his departure from the show due to health issues.

“It could have been like a tornado the whole time,” Bailey said. “And the yacht was so beautiful. The crew was so amazing. Captain Lee was our captain. They basically gave us everything we wanted. So it didn’t even matter that the weather was kind of crappy because it just ended up being so much fun.”

A lot of her reported net worth of $2.5 million comes from her role on RHOA and her life as an actress and model – she even beat out Naomi Campbell to co-star with Sandra Bernhardt in 1990’s Without You I’m Nothing.

Kary Brittingham’s estimated net worth: $10 million

Kary Brittingham, known for her role on The Real Housewives of Dallas, joined along on Jason Ziegler’s charter as one of his guests on Below Deck Mediterranean season 2. The trip made some pretty big gossip on the yacht after chief stew Hannah Ferrier shared a kiss with Ziegler during the charter.

Brittingham made her appearance before ever starring on RHOD. “I was just thinking, oh my god, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” she said of her time on Below Deck Mediterranean, “like I’m thinking now also with [RHOD]. I just think that I’m a person who really enjoys every moment to the fullest because you never know what’s gonna happen next and what’s not gonna happen.”

In terms of her net worth, Brittingham is estimated to have $10 million to her name, but it’s rumoured that she could be worth even more, with some estimates clocking in as high as $40 million. Most of her income comes from her jewelry line, Kamo by Kary, her time on RHOD and her husband, Eduardo Brittingham, who is the CEO and founder of a social media engagement platform called Tu Familia.

Timothy Sykes’ estimated net worth: $15 million

Screen Rant has dubbed Timothy Sykes “the worst charter guest in Below Deck history.” After appearing on season 2, Sykes got a lot of flack after bringing “his students” – which chief stew Kate Chastain said seemed more like a cult – on a three-day yacht trip. He had the whole crew stressed out to the max, from getting upset about a lack of internet to do his stock trades to trading in chef Ben’s high-quality dishes for chicken tenders for his 19-year-old girlfriend.

So, after all of the fuss he kicked up, how much is Timothy Sykes actually worth? Well, although he’s known for turning his bar mitzvah money into more than $1 million by trading stocks, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Sykes is now worth $15 million

Barrie Drewitt-Barlow’s estimated net worth: $40 million

Barrie Drewitt-Barlow had viewers seething after he only tipped the crew a mere $15,000 on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. During their three-night, four-day charter, Drewitt-Barlow and his (huge) group of guests had extremely high demands, especially with the food.

Throughout the charter, Drewitt-Barlow and his family frequently bragged about their spending – from vacations to homes to gifts. In fact, his daughter, Saffron, revealed that he spent almost $300,000 on her Christmas gift alone, according to TV Shows Ace.

The U.S. Sun places his combined net worth with his ex-husband, Tony, at $40 million. Drewitt-Barlow is a technical director at a medical research company, Princeton Consumer Research, where he works as an “Odor Guru” – reportedly making $12 million for sniffing people’s armpits after they use different deodorants (no, that’s not a joke).

Johnny Damon’s net worth: $40 million

Two-time World Series Champion Johnny Damon chartered a yacht on Below Deck Mediterranean with his wife, Michelle, and some friends. In an interview with Decider, the baseball player said it “was such a fun experience” to be on the show, but at one point in the episode, he was served a raw steak.

“I always thought breakfast was great,” Damon explained. “But my steak was very raw and I can eat it like that, but it needs to be warm and it just wasn’t. I know it’s tough to cook on a boat.”

Damon’s high standards could be, in part, due to his hefty net worth, which clocks in at $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Most of Damon’s money came from his time in the MLB. Over the course of his career, he played for seven teams, including the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.

Lane Merrifield’s estimated net worth: $350 million

Lane Merrifield made a splash on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 after a certain dining fiasco. The guest, who is a top tech entrepreneur, requested a white theme dinner party with his girlfriend Amanda and some of their friends – but, on the second night, he asked for a molecular gastronomy meal. Chef Marcos Spaziani dug deep into the internet to find some molecular gastronomy recipes, but nothing he did would satisfy Merrifield. So who, exactly, is this ultra-rich charter guest?

Merrifield is the founder of Club Penguin. At the ripe age of 28, he became the youngest executive vice president at Disney when he sold Club Penguin to the Walt Disney Company for $350 million. As a result, many online sources place his net worth in and around $350 million.
