Forbes has once again released their annual World’s Billionaires List, and — while we usually dread this list because it makes us feel even worse about our financial situation — we’re rooting for one of the new additions this year. Mom-to-be and our 2000s pop icon-turned-beauty mogul, Rihanna, just landed herself on Forbes annual billionaires list for the first time, and we couldn’t be more excited.
The 34-year-old singer, entrepreneur and makeup connoisseur is worth an estimated $1.7 billion, according to Forbes’ 36th annual list.
Rihanna has been influential to us all since the release of “Pon De Replay” in 2005, and then again when she launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 (making one of the first cosmetic companies inclusive to all women), and she continues to inspire us with this recent achievement.

Rihanna is Barbados’ first billionaire on the list
While this is a huge achievement for Rihanna personally, she also continues to represent her country proudly, becoming the first billionaire from the Caribbean island nation, Barbados — and the wealthiest female musician in the world.
Alongside queen RiRi on this year’s billionaires list are Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Tyler Perry and 2,662 others.
After providing an entire generation with influential, essential bad girl music, iconic makeup looks and inclusive lingerie, this billionaire status is so well deserved — we can’t wait to see what’s to come from Rihanna next, a lullaby track, perhaps?
