Prayers up for Teresa Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was hospitalized Wednesday night to undergo an apparent “emergency medical procedure.” TMZ reports that a source close to the reality TV star says that the procedure was to have her appendix removed.
Teresa’s lawyer, James Leonard, spoke to TMZ giving assurance that Giudice is doing okay, saying that “she is recuperating and is looking forward to speedy recovery. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.”

Her daughter Gia was by her side, posting a photo to Instagram stories of Giudice in her hospital bed, saying, “Such a trooper I love you. Pray for a speedy recovery I love you.”

According to a rep who spoke to Page Six, Giudice would be released within 24 hours, which means she should be out of hospital by the time of this writing and recovering at home.
So far, there’s been no comment yet from sister-in-law Melissa Gorga who was recently left out of Giudice’s bridal party.
A week after Teresa’s hospitalization, Gia gave an update on her recovery, noting that it’ll affect her behaviour at the upcoming reunions. “She can’t yell ’cause her stomach might hurt,” Gia warned, calling for her castmates to “go easy on her” that day.
