Every year, the Grammy Awards celebrate the best musicians of the past year — and every year artists bring their best to the award show’s red carpet, too. This year, our favourite celebs really stepped up to the plate when it came to fashion. Here are our top picks for best-dressed celebrities at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat didn’t come to play, showing up in a light-blue sheer Atelier Versace dress dripping in crystals paired with a pair of the Versace spring 2022 chunky sandals. If this wasn’t enough, the rapper and singer finished the look with a clear glass Coperni purse (filled with hard candies) matching diamond jewelry and a platinum blonde spiky bob moment. Doja gave us everything and more with this look — setting the tone for the others.

Olivia Rodrigo

Our Y2K prom queen Olivia Rodrigo showed up and showed out in a trompe l’oeil Vivienne Westwood gown paired with black opera gloves and matching pink and black layered chokers. The fitted black dress featured a glitter-encrusted silhouette and off-the-shoulder chunky straps. The first-time Grammy Award winner paired this look with some simple beach waves. By the end of the night, Rodrigo had two Grammys in hand plus one broken Grammy — we love a Taylor Swift moment.

Justin and Hailey Bieber

Though the look may be controversial, Justin Bieber stepped out in Balenciaga from head to Croc, and we’re here for it. The singer rocked the oversized grey Balenciaga look paired with chunky platform Balenciaga Crocs, bringing comfort to the red carpet. Justin’s look was beautifully complemented by Hailey Bieber’s ensemble. Hailey stunned in a classy pearl-coloured silk gown by Saint Laurent and a loose braid paired with a dainty layered necklace. We have one thing to say about this look (and this couple): love!

Billie Eilish

We can’t find one thing wrong with Billie Eilish’s all-black moment at the 2022 Grammys. The singer wore an oversized Rick Owens coat (sporting a unique irregular neckline) wrapped around a satin dress with chunky boots, a pair of skinny sunglasses and a spiky updo — giving us Lydia Deets realness.

However, this wasn’t all for Grammys fashion for Eilish — she changed into a more comfortable, casual look for her performance of “Happier Than Ever,” wearing black pants topped in a custom oversized Willy Chavarria T-shirt with a picture of Taylor Hawkins face — paying homage to the Foo Fighters drummer who passed away just nine days before the 2022 Grammys.

On trend with the all-black look, Dua Lipa wore Vintage 1992 Versace house fall “Miss S&M” collection beautifully. The dress, a bondage-style corseted top dripping in gold accents, complemented the singer’s long platinum hair — a look similarly worn by Donatella Versace herself at the 1992 Met Gala.

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has yet again outdone himself in an all-white, quilted, pearl-encrusted Balmain suit, following his own trend of armor-inspired looks. The look was everything we could’ve hoped for and more, from the blue eyeshadow to the embroidered butterflies – and can we take a moment for the chunky platform, diamond-bedazzled shoes.

We love to see standout menswear, and Giveon gave us just that in a black tweed layered, sparkling Chanel suit. The “Peaches” singer paired the flashy look with a beautifully layered necklace, complementing the sparkle of the suit.

Omer Fedi

Wearing Comme Des Garcons, Omer Fedi was arguably a favourite look of the night. Fedi wore a very modern, edgy take on traditional menswear — we love this distressed, reconstructed suit jacket. The look is paired perfectly with the oversized white blouse, baggy dress pants, sleek black dress shoes and a black choker — and what makes this even better is Fedi’s vibrant red hair. We can’t wait to see more of these looks from the musician.

Jack Harlow

Sometimes, less is more on the red carpet (but rarely), and Jack Harlow is the perfect example of that rocking a simple and elegant all-black Givenchy suit paired with sleek black dress shoes. The smallest finishing makes a difference, the metallic clasp paired with the rapper’s watch elevates the look just the right amount — we’re taking notes!
