PwC, or PricewaterhouseCoopers, is one of the world’s biggest accounting firms. PwC Canada lists 70 jobs on their careers page at the moment. These include positions in PR, corporate tax, Canadian immigration law, data analytics, risk assurance and sales and marketing. The available jobs are based in different cities in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba. While most of the jobs currently available or for senior positions that require a few years’ experience, PwC is also a good option to consider if you want to start a career in accounting or auditing.

Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre is one of Canada’s largest hospitals and currently lists 123 jobs on Indeed. These include not only clinical and caregiving jobs like nursing assistant, respiratory therapist, general duty nurse and even spiritual health practitioner but also many support roles: housekeeping aide, secretary, admissions clerk, medical transcriptionist, florist and the like. If you’re not feeling very enthusiastic about relocating to one of the Canadian cities with the worst winters right now, remember that you’ll be working in the warm, snug indoors.

Natural Resources Canada lists 20 jobs at the moment. However, several of these jobs have multiple positions available in locations all across Canada. These include mill worker, scale room operator, feed formulator, regional procurement manager and different types of technicians. Some jobs are seasonal and some require French. Most of the available positions are based in different locations in Quebec but there are also opportunities in Winnipeg, Moncton, Princeton, B.C. and Thorndale, Ontario.

The YMCA was one of the Canadian companies hiring in September and the organization still has 152 jobs listed. These jobs range widely in scope: early childhood educators, English language assessors, settlement counsellors, youth outreach workers, cooks, cleaners, custodians and lifeguards are just some of the positions available in locations across Canada.

With the holidays coming up, more people will be buying gifts online and sending them to loved ones rather than risking shopping trips and then travelling to see the family. Homegrown courier company Purolator is hiring at the moment to meet the expected demand, with more than 170 jobs listed on their careers page right now. Most of the positions are for different types of sorters and couriers but there are also positions for data scientists, trailer mechanics and air ramp managers, among others. The available jobs are based in different locations in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

If one of your main job requirements is that it should involve water, you may want to check out the 90 jobs Fisheries and Oceans Canada currently has listed on their website. These include search and rescue crew members, aquatic science biologists, deckhands, environmental officers, stewards and even lightkeepers. If you’re considering a career in healthcare, now is the time to grab one of the many opportunities available. North America’s largest health research organization, for instance, currently has 315 jobs listed on their careers page. These include straightforward healthcare jobs like physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, care aides and various kinds of medical technicians; research jobs like research assistants and study assistants; and supporting jobs like porters, cleaners, copywriters, communications operators and even art directors. If you’re looking for a job in Atlantic Canada, forestry giant J.D. Irving has opportunities all over New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, including in some of the most affordable cities in Canada for young people. The hundreds of jobs currently listed on their careers page include general labourers, nursery workers, cashiers, maintenance professionals, administrative assistants, customer service representatives and process engineers. The company has plenty of jobs for new graduates and seasonal jobs for students too.

Not having a dedicated office space is one of the work-from-home mistakes to avoid. Many Canadians are new to working from home and that means Staples is doing brisk business. The company currently has more than 700 jobs listed on their website. These run the gamut of retail jobs, from customer service representative to risk manager. There are positions available in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta and New Brunswick.

Canadian Tire lists more than 500 jobs on Indeed at the moment. These vary widely and include business analysts, security guards, social and delivery media coordinators, translators, newsletter coordinators, integration specialists, apparel designers and of course sales jobs. Most jobs are based in various cities in Ontario and Quebec but there are also opportunities in Calgary and Victoria.

Looking for retail jobs that won’t make you pull your hair out? Fashion retailer Nordstrom currently lists more than 70 jobs on their career page. These include salesperson jobs but there are also opportunities in the overnight online fulfillment team, the merchandise and inventory team, security, and for visual merchandisers and loss prevention agents. Most available positions are based in cities in Ontario but there are also jobs based in Vancouver and Calgary. Some positions are seasonal or part-time.

If you want to help people with the most common tax mistakes Canadians make, the financial services company has 45 jobs listed on their website at the moment. These include tax analysts – among them, jobs for new graduates – as well as administrative assistants, office managers, accountants and bookkeepers, assurance managers and a marketing and communications specialist. The available jobs are based in Toronto as well as locations in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan.

Insurance giant Intact currently lists nearly 200 positions on their careers page. These include claims assistants and representatives, financial analysts, legal assistants, internal investigators and IT support specialists. There are also openings in the company’s new grad underwriting development program. Most jobs are based in various cities in Ontario and Quebec but there are also positions available in Calgary, Vancouver and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

We told you that McGill University was one of the companies hiring in August. Right now, there are even more positions available here: 445 listed on their website, in fact. While the majority of these jobs are based in Montreal, there are also some openings in Quebec City and Gatineau.

Available jobs are based in various cities in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Being bilingual is a huge advantage in most of these jobs.

We listed Loblaw as one of the Canadian companies hiring in June and the company still has plenty of vacancies: it has thousands of openings posted across various divisions. These include not only the regular retail jobs like cashiers, store managers, clerks in the different departments and personal shoppers but also recruiters, business analysts, data scientists, pharmacists and maintenance staff. There are vacancies throughout Canada.

Ontario’s Halton Healthcare Services currently lists 248 jobs on their website, based in Georgetown, Milton or Oakville. These include those in-demand healthcare jobs like registered nurses and physiotherapists but also support positions like janitors, patient registration clerks, switchboard operators and food services helpers.

The University of Toronto offers one of the best perks in Canada: the possibility of free tuition for your family. There are currently more than 150 U of T jobs listed on their careers page. They are based either at the university’s Toronto or its Mississauga campus and include teaching assistants, executive assistants, lecturers and professors, management positions like operations and finance managers and even an events specialist.
