I Visited the Downtown Toronto IKEA — Here’s What Caught My Eye

Torontonians living downtown no longer have to trek to North York or Etobicoke in order to shop from IKEA for their furniture and housewares needs (or meatballs). The newest location, found in the Aura Concourse mall, is smaller in size but still features a ton of products that you’ll want to stock up on.

When I stepped into the store (it opened back in May), I was surprised by how well everything was laid out. There were arrows to guide you around each section, and although the showrooms were quite small, everything was displayed beautifully. I looked at everything from pillows and cushions to desk and organization essentials, and although I didn’t splurge on anything major, I can’t say that I wasn’t tempted thanks to the cute staging.

Girl, put your records on (with this chic black record player of course). Let your vinyl collection be heard thanks to this design from none other than Swedish House Mafia. Every music fan needs one, and this one looks timeless.

I’ve always wanted a record player that matched my space, and because this is black it will go with every other piece of furniture in my room. Although I didn’t buy it, it’s definitely something I’m keeping my eye on for the holiday season.

Grey desk

A desk for all your work needs

I recently moved into a new apartment, and my current desk is a bit too big and bulky to be comfortable. I loved the simple look of this desk that has two roomy drawers for all the clutter.

While I only spotted the white one in-store, online there was this gorgeous turquoise option that would really make for a cool colour to spruce up your workspace.
