It’s a big day for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans: Lisa Rinna has officially announced that she’s leaving the reality series after 8 drama-filled seasons. While viewers have been speculating about her departure for months now, Rinna told People that she’s exiting the show after her contentious appearance on season 12. Rinna is making her leave alongside Diana Jenkins, who is also exiting RHOBH after just one season.
Throughout her eight-season run, Rinna delivered her fair share of explosive fights, hilarious one-liners and not-so-subtle promotions for her infamous lip products. But, after a controversial face-off with friend of the cast, Kathy Hilton, fans began to wonder if her time on the show was coming to an end.
Now, People reports that Rinna and Bravo mutually agreed that it was time for her to make her exit. They came to the decision after Rinna’s contract expired at the end of the last season.
“This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series,” Rinna tells the outlet. “It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
“Given that Lisa’s contract was up at the end of last season, and after taking the time to weigh her current options and business obligations, Lisa and Bravo have discussed and mutually decided that she will not be returning to RHOBH,” Rinna’s rep told Us Weekly.
The Harry Hamlin stan and former Days of Our Lives star joined RHOBH in season 5, which premiered back in 2014. She really made her mark in that season, taking part in one of the most memorable fights in Housewives history when she threw a wine glass at former RHOBH star Kim Richards.

What does Lisa Vanderpump think of Lisa Rinna’s departure from RHOBH?
While Rinna has been on the show for quite some time now, one former Housewife seems happy to see her go. It appears Rinna’s former RHOBH co-star and Vanderpump Rules mogul Lisa Vanderpump has something to say about her departure.
Vanderpump reportedly took to Twitter just a few hours after Rinna’s announcement to tweet a short-but-punchy, “Ding dong,” which appears to be a reference to The Wizard of Oz’s “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead.”
Vanderpump and Rinna have been at odds for years, finding themselves in a whole slew of on-air feuds during their time on the show.
Why is Diana Jenkins leaving RHOBH?
Jenkins told People that she’s leaving the beloved reality series because she is currently expecting another child.
“As many of you know, Asher and I are expecting our second child later this year,” Jenkins shared in a statement. “You also know that due to many factors, this pregnancy is considered high risk and I am on doctor-advised bed rest. To that end, I am not able to devote myself fully to filming the next season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
“I would like to thank Bravo and Evolution for allowing me to focus on my pregnancy, and for their support and understanding,” Jenkins added. “I promise to continue sharing my fertility journey with you.”
