Once upon a very recent time, cannabis use — whether it was recreational or for medicinal purposes — was something people did in secret. A fear of reefer madness reinforced the already-stigmatized substance. Now that it’s legal in Canada and some American states, that’s changing.
All along though, a handful of A-listers such as Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna and others have been open about its use. Here are 10 times that celebrities have been open about their cannabis use—and challenged the status quo.
