Sold to a family in 2017, the dream home turned into a nightmare following a spate of paranormal activity that led the family to move out and put this home up for rental. Today, guests can stay in the 109-year-old house in hopes of seeing the television and lights flicker on and off, and even some floating apparitions.

This rustic 100-year-old house rests on a compound that used to be a place for weary travellers passing through to rest their souls for the night. While its notable guests include former US President Lyndon B. Johnson, it’s Nancy the Ghost’s soul that reportedly remains; her weeping sounds can occasionally be heard echoing throughout the home. Just note, this property is “in the sticks,” and about a 25-minute drive from the closest small town, which means there may be no one around to hear your (or Nancy’s) screams.
