Attend a TIFF celeb talk or panel

As part of TIFF programming, there are talks with different celebs and filmmakers every year. This year, a number of stars are participating in the “In Conversation With…” series, including Taylor Swift and Squid Game star, Lee Jung-jae.

While some of the talks (such as Taylor Swift’s) are sold out, you might be able to nab tickets by winning contests presented by TIFF.

Wait at Fan Zones

TIFF has dedicated Fan Zones located in David Pecaut Square at 215 King St W and in front of the Princess of Wales Theatre at 300 King St W. Fans can line up for the zones, and when the stars walk the red carpet ahead of their movie premieres, they’ll be able to see them — and maybe get a photo or an autograph. Access only opens up two hours before the film starts, so make sure to plan accordingly as spots are first-come, first-served.

Hit up fancy restaurants

Stars love good food just like the rest of us, and so hitting up Toronto’s delicious and diverse food scene is another way to potentially catch a glimpse of some of your favourite stars. Restaurants such as Kost, MARBL, Sofia and more are known spots that celebs have hit up over the years, so you can expect them to potentially stop by to grab a bite to eat at one of these spots.
