Shoes: $3 million
In 1989, Ronald Winston of the House of Harry Winston made a replica of the ruby slippers that Judy Garland wore as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Alux.com says that they contain 1,350 karats worth of rubies and 50 karats worth of white diamonds. The $3 million price tag of back then would be around $5.8 million today.

Watch: $24 million
In 1925, banker Henry Graves Jr. asked Swiss watchmakers Patek Philippe to make him a very special watch. After three years of designing it and another five to make it, Patek Philippe presented Graves with the Supercomplication, still one of the most complicated mechanical timepieces ever made. In 2014 it was sold for about $24 million, according to Forbes.

Cellphone: $95.5 million
Apple launched the Falcon SuperNova Pink Diamond iPhone 6 in 2014 and you could pre-order it for $48.5 million at the time. Now, according to Engadgetng.com, the eight karat gold phone with its huge pink diamond will set you back $95.5 million.

Lipstick and Mascara: $14 million
In 2006, a Las Vegas socialite asked H Couture Beauty to create a special set of lipstick and mascara for her. The company came up with the $14 million Socialite Collection, which featured a mascara in 18 karat gold with 2,500 blue diamonds and a lipstick, also in 18 karat gold, with 1,200 pink diamonds.

Perfume Bottle: $1 million
As Marie Claire reported in 2011, DKNY created the world’s first million-dollar fragrance bottle. The one-of-a-kind, handmade DKNY Golden Delicious bottle featured 14 karat gold, 2,700 white diamonds, 183 yellow sapphires and a 165 karat tourmaline and was sold for charity.

Sandwich: $214
The Guinness World Record for the most expensive commercially available sandwich is held by New York eatery Serendipity 3. It’s called the Quintessential Grilled Cheese and is made with bread containing Dom Perignon champagne, white truffle butter, Caciocavallo Podolico cheese and edible gold leaf. You need to order this $214 sandwich, which is served with a lobster bisque, 48 hours in advance.

Sundae: $25,000
Once you’ve had your expensive grilled cheese at Serendipity 3, you can end the meal with the Frrrozen Haute Chocolate, which holds the Guinness World Record for the most expensive dessert. The $25,000 sundae is decorated with gold leaf and comes with a gold-and-diamond bracelet and a gold-and-diamond spoon.

Jewel: $48.4 million
In 2015, Hong Kong tycoon Joseph Lau bought the Blue Moon, a 12.03 karat diamond for $48.8 million. As The Guardian reported at the time, he bought the gem for his seven-year-old daughter, Josephine, one day after he forked out $28.5 million for a 16.08 karat pink diamond.

Dog: $1.5 million
The most expensive dog ever was a red Tibetan mastiff sold in 2011 for the equivalent of about $1.5 million. At the time, the Daily Mail reported that the 11-month-old dog’s name was Hong Dong or, in English, Big Splash and was sold to a Chinese coal baron.

A vintage Barbie in mint condition can fetch you a pretty penny on eBay but the most expensive one ever sold was a custom-designed Barbie that sold for $302,500 in 2010. Stefano Carturi created the diamond necklace Barbie wore for that year’s Australian Fashion Week.

In 2010, according to Luxury Insider, a one-of-a-kind Tibaldi fountain pen sold for around $8 million at an auction in Shanghai. The Fulgor Nocturnus pen is adorned with 945 black diamonds and 123 rubies.

A limited edition of the Graf von Faber-Castell Perfect Pencil will set you back about $12,800. Its end piece and extender are made of white gold and the extender has a handy built-in sharpener. Three diamonds are set into the cap, which also hides an eraser.

Guitar: $2.7 million
The most expensive guitar ever sold didn’t belong to Eric Clapton or Prince or even Jimi Hendrix. According to GuitarPlayer.com, the “Reach Out to Asia” Fender Stratocaster sold at a 2005 auction fetched $2.7 million because it features the signatures of rock legends such as Clapton, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Sting, Brian May, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour and Angus Young.

Piano: $1.2 million
The Limited Edition Kuhn-Bösendorfer is not the most expensive piano ever sold, but it’s the most expensive new one you can buy. It’s embedded with 100,000 hand-cut crystal pieces and if the Bösendorfer brand is good enough for Tori Amos, the Kuhn- Bösendorfer is good enough for anybody with $1.2 million to spare.

In 2009, Hong Kong businessman Hoffman Ma bought a glove for $320,000 but, after commission and taxes were added, paid about $420,000, Reuters reported. The reason why a single glove could become the most expensive ever was that it’s probably also the most famous glove in the world, being the white rhinestone-studded glove Michael Jackson wore when he first performed the moonwalk during a 1983 television special.
