Watch out, Vancouverites – it looks like the city is about to be taken over by some cordyceps-ridden zombies (and heartthrob Pedro Pascal, of course). According to Deadline, the second season of The Last of Us will be filmed in the British Columbia hotspot.

As fans of the 2013 video game are well aware, most of The Last of Us Part II takes place in the Pacific Northwest. While HBO has yet to share details on the storyline or when production will begin, they have revealed that they’ll be using Vancouver as a stand-in for the American setting.

“We’re incredibly excited to have one of the largest shows on television choose to film in Vancouver,” Mayor Ken Sim explains, according to Global News. “Vancouver is Hollywood North – this announcement is a demonstration of our City’s continued strength in the film and television sector. As we look to the future, I’m confident that we will see even more productions decide to make their home here.”

Creative BC CEO Prem Gill adds that the news shows “the strength of B.C.’s motion picture industry.”

“With an exceptional crew base and an unparalleled range of stunning locations, we are poised to build on the precedent set by Alberta’s exceptional work on season one.”

Where was The Last of Us season one filmed?

As Gill noted above, the first season of The Last of Us was filmed in various Alberta locations, which served as stand-ins for several American towns. In fact, scenes were filmed at 180 locations across the province, from Grande Prairie to Waterton Lakes National Park.
