Mary Jackson, Hidden Figures
Janelle Monáe always makes a splash on the red carpet with bold ensembles. As NASA's first African-American female engineer Mary Jackson in Hidden Figures, her aesthetic is best described as smart and stylish with a hint of rebellion. Costume designer Renee Ehrlich Kalfus had some restrictions in creating Mary's look because of the space agency's dress code in the 1960s, but she found a way to embrace Mary's youth and spirit. And she's the only female in the film to wear pants!

Vivian Ward, Pretty Woman
Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) may not have started Pretty Woman as a fashion icon, but she took a place among some of the greats by the end of the film. Key moments are defined by Vivian's wardrobe — from the white dress and black hat when she returns to the boutique that refused to help her, to the pantsuit with pleated shorts when she meets up with Kit. But perhaps her most unforgettable ensembles are the red gown she wears to the opera, and the polka-dotted brown dress from the polo match.

Lou, Ocean’s Eight
Lou (Cate Blanchett) is the ultimate badass in Ocean's Eight, and her rock and roll vibe reflects that. Her wardrobe plays with layers and textures, like the green velvet suit — with a tie and no shirt — under a plus leopard-print coat. It's not all three-piece suits and vintage scarves, though. She also wears a shimmering mermaid-like jumpsuit that would make Elton John jealous.
