Stream now, pay… never? Yes, it’s happening. Canadians love to be entertained, and — thanks to a new partnership with Corus Entertainment Inc. and Pluto TV — our options just seriously expanded. Pluto TV, the leading free streaming TV service, officially launched in Canada today (Dec. 1) with more than 110 unique free channels — here’s what this means for you.
What is Pluto TV?
Pluto TV is the world’s leading FAST (AKA free ad-supported streaming television) service. Put simply, FAST channels let you stream content for free — but they have periodic ad breaks (just like commercial breaks with traditional cable channels). So, with Pluto TV, you can watch a live linear channel or stream content on-demand for free.
The service can be accessed and streamed on mobile, web and connected TV devices (think: the same way that you might access subscription streaming services).

What does Pluto TV offer for Canadians?
Through their partnership with Corus Entertainment, Pluto TV now allows Canadians to stream more than 20,000 hours of free programming, including over 110 thematic and single-series channels from a library of thousands of titles from Paramount and global media partners.
“I am thrilled to officially introduce Pluto TV to Canadian audiences, bringing them a fantastic lineup that combines the best of Corus’ Canadian content, Paramount’s deep library and more than 100 third-party partners. The union of Pluto TV and Corus delivers the best of both worlds, debuting a free streaming destination for fans, and creating opportunities for advertisers, offering a premium inventory in a brand safe TV environment,” Olivier Jollet, Executive Vice President & International General Manager for Pluto TV, said in a press release.
At launch, Pluto TV will have channels dedicated to everything from iconic premium franchises (think: CSI, NCIS and South Park) to fan-faves (like The Drew Barrymore Show, Judge Judy and Beverly Hills 90210).
Additionally, Pluto TV will offer hit Canadian original series from Corus — like Love It or List It, Property Brothers, Bryan Inc., Border Security and Chopped Canada — news programming from Global News.
While Pluto TV gives Canadians access to FAST TV, it will also offer thousands of hours of content available to watch on-demand.
