Planning a trip with a fur baby in mind can make things, well, complicated. Despite the rising costs of literally everything, the price of room and board for pets remains expensive. You could probably save money just by bringing your pet along to your holiday getaway — but that can be expensive, too. With this in mind, a recent report via the airport parking company Airport Parking Reservations rounded up the top pet-friendly airlines in the world, and thankfully the pet-ticket prices are pretty affordable (though it’s important to note that prices are in USD).

Topping the list is Turkish Airlines with the highest pet travel score at 7.3 and an average pet ticket price capping at around $24. Turkish Airlines is known for visiting some of the trendiest countries in the Middle East and Europe from Greece to UAE and even Cyprus.
All Nippon Airways and Spirit Airlines come in second and third respectively with their scores ranking just above 5. All Nippon’s prices vary; however, they have the added benefit of allowing nine different species of animals, including birds. Spirit Airlines is pretty inexpensive as well with a large roster of countries you can visit all across North and South America.
Here’s the official ranking of the 5most pet-friendly airlines, according to the report (you can see the full list here):

It goes without saying that bringing your pet along can be a wonderful experience, but also quite challenging. We recommend researching the specific rules and regulations of the country you’re traveling to and ensuring you have all your furry friend’s documentation in order and that you follow all travel rules that apply to you. Otherwise, have a happy and healthy trip — and don’t forget to bring your pet’s favourite toys.
