Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber
The nearly married couple have known each other for years, and denied they were dating for months — until they couldn't deny it any longer. Of course, they split but fast-forward to this past summer when they got engaged, and now, they've obtained a marriage license from a New York city courthouse, which means they have roughly 60 days to officially head down the aisle. Rumour has it they're currently wedding planning.
That being said, while we have no idea when their first date actually was, the first time they met was awkward AF. Hailey was 14, Biebs was 16 and Hailey's dad, Stephen Baldwin, introduced them backstage at the Today show. Hair flip? Yes. Sparks? Hell, no.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne spilled the dirt on Harry and Meghan's first date in London — and it could've gone so many ways.
"Meghan and I had a lunch planned and we were actually going on to a meeting," Nelthorpe-Cowne told Australian morning show Today back in May. "And she said to me that she's meeting someone that evening, she's got a blind date that evening, which turned out to be really not such a blind date because she knew who it was, but she didn't know him as a person, she had never met him before."
She continued: "I could see she was obviously very excited. So I said to her, 'You look fantastic. Who is this person? Do I know him?' And she said, 'Yeah, I'm sure you know him. It's Prince Harry."
Hey, a blind date that actually worked out — and then some. Proof that you have to give it a shot; you might just find your Prince or Princess Charming.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt
After working up the courage to ask Blunt on a date, Krasinski took the actress to the last place anyone would expect: the shooting range.
"I think that I was so sure that I would never end up with her because she'd be like, 'This is ridiculous. I can have anyone. Not you,'" John said on Conan in 2012, four years after that fateful day. "I was like, 'You know what? I'm going to blow it right away and then that way you don't feel bad.'"
Seems like everything worked out for the seemingly opposite celeb couple, who got married in 2010 and have two daughters.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
A chance encounter 12 years after their first meeting — at a baseball game where J.Lo's then-husband, Marc Anthony, was throwing out the first pitch — led to quite the conversation.
"He was sitting there in his white shirt, very confident and manly, but then he was just so talkative!" Lopez recalled to Vanity Fair. "I think he thought I was going to be this loud person, but I'm not. I just listen. So he's talking, talking about his plans, about how he had just retired from baseball, about how he saw himself getting married again, all these things you wouldn't normally talk about on a first date. I don't know if he thought it was a date. I thought it was a date."

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin
George Clooney, the seemingly eternal bachelor, met his match in the beautiful British barrister. It was in October 2013 when the actor/director invited Amal Alamuddin to visit him in London, where he was overseeing the recording of the score for his 2014 movie, Monuments Men. She hung out with him at Abbey Road Studios, which Clooney told The Hollywood Reporter was "a good first date." Duh. And now, of course, the duo are parents to twins!

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
The couple remained friends despite co-starring in the 2011 box office bomb Green Lantern, even going on a double date with Blake on a date with another guy and he on a date with another girl.
"That was the most awkward date for their respective probably because we were just like fireworks coming across," Reynolds revealed during Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM show. But it was later on that they went out for dinner, Ryan asked Blake to dance in the empty restaurant, and they got sexy that night. Bow-chicka-bow-wow.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Their first date was a tad unconventional; she was in her underwear while shooting the video to his 2007 song "Stereo" but just because filming ended doesn't mean they were done.
"Ours wasn't a typical first encounter — we were shooting a video together all day," the singer told The Lowdown with Diana Madison. "We spent a long time together that day, and she came to my show later that night. We had an attraction to each other very quickly." Uh-huh.

Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara
While details of their first date aren't known, it's the way Manganiello wooed Vergara that'll have you swooning. As soon as he learned Sofia and her ex had split, Joe was determined to land a date with his crush — so he flew to New Orleans where the actress was filming a movie and took her out.
"She's blamed me ever since for ruining her life because she was supposed to be single," he laughed to news.com.au. "But I didn't let that happen. And here we are." Sofia added on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Joe "seemed like a lot of work" but they're making it work.

Aaron Paul and Lauren Parsekian
Coachella isn't all douchebags, trust fund babies and questionable fashion choices; it's also where two people can fall in love. Just ask Aaron and Lauren, who were smitten at first sight. Their music festival first date heated up quick when the actor suggested they get married that same night.
"The Little White Chapel ended up being closed," he told Elle magazine. "We probably would have gone through with it. It would have been a pretty funny story. But I'm happy we got married when we did – a year later." Phew! Who knows if they'd still be together if they tied the knot that quickly.

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder
Their trips to the farmers' market weren't considered dates — that is, until the now-husband and wife enjoyed a hot dinner date at Craig's in West Hollywood. After that, they packed on a little more PDA during those market jaunts.

Daryl Sabara and Meghan Trainor
Bowling and karaoke sounds like a typical first date but it was a kiss that kept Trainor wanting more.
"He kissed me at the bowling alley," she told Cosmopolitan. "I told my security to step outside 'cause I didn't want to be watched," adding about her dear future husband, "He was the best kisser ever. I know I'm really good at kissing, but I was shocked when he was." Lips were indeed movin'.

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari
The first time Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari met face to face wasn't their first date. The next time, however, was the one, as the two went to Nashville on a whim — "and had the best 24hrs," Cavallari tweeted. "It was the most fun I've ever had." Aw.

Rachael Ray and John Cusimano
Their 12-year marriage started out during a very late night. "We were out until 4 AM!," Ray told People, recalling meeting at a mutual friend's party. "He told me what he had made himself for dinner the night before, and I assumed that if you're not a chef and you made what he told me he made, that he was gay. So I was going to set him up with a friend of mine — another handsome Italian man — and he said, 'Oh, I'm not gay!'" It's a wonder their night kept going.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell
They've been together for 34 years but Russell still remembers their first date. After a night of dancing at The Playboy Club, they both agreed "the night wasn't over yet" and ended up back at her place.
"We eventually found our way upstairs, looking around at imaginary furniture and we were in the imaginary bedroom, now, and we are realistically having sex when the police walked in because we had to break into the place to get in," the actor recalled during an appearance on Harry. "That was our first date. It was a lot of fun." No kidding.

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa
The couple and parents to newborn Rani celebrated their "first date anniversary" in December 2017, which prompted Hudson to share on Instagram what happened that previous year: a hike. But what she thought was an outing with a family friend "turned very quickly into an unexpected first date." While "no moves were made," unlike her mom and Kurt, look where they are now.

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres
Because Portia was still in the closet, her first date with Ellen was pretty simple. "We drove around in a car because we weren't supposed to be seen together," DeGeneres explained to BBC Radio 1Xtra. "Everyone was saying, 'don't be seen' because she wasn't out yet, so everybody was like, 'What if this doesn't last and you ruin your career?' So we literally weren't allowed to go out and do stuff, so we drove around in the neighborhood."
She added jokingly: "It was cheaper than if she wanted to go to some upscale, fancy restaurant."

Meredith Salenger and Patton Oswalt
They met through mutual friend Martha Plimpton — sort of. The widower, who lost his first wife Michelle McNamara suddenly in 2016, was supposed to meet her at a dinner party at Plimpton's house, but had to bail at the last minute; Salenger messaged him the next day and they began chatting via text. "That was on February 28," Oswalt told Jimmy Kimmel. "We started talking. We didn’t meet face to face until May 20."
The actor-comedian referred to the exchanges as "very Victorian-like," comparing it to "exchanging letters kind of romance." He added: "We did all of the deep stuff you do after the date so by the time we met on our first date I was so head over heels." They were married less than six months later, and that's how you do that.

They first met when she auditioned for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. They remained friendly but years later, Jada recalled to YourTango that they "went out for dinner one night and I saw that he had grown from this lanky kid to this really responsible man. We started courting each other and our friendship turned into romance."

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen
They may be one of the hottest (and kinda-sorta look-a-like celeb couples) ever but what's surprising is they were set up. "This friend told me he knew a girl version of me," Brady told Details in 2009. Enter Gisele, of course. And they lived happily ever after.
