Mary Cosby Quits ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’

NBC

After two seasons on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary Cosby is leaving the show. This won’t come as a surprise to fans of the show who have been hearing rumours of her exit for weeks now. The news follows her reunion no-show, where fans were hoping to hear an explanation or apology for her behaviour and accusations throughout the season.

“Mary will not be back,” a source revealed to Page Six. “She did not enjoy her time on the show or form any strong bonds with the ladies.”

The spiritual leader had a rough second season. Fans called her out multiple times for her inappropriate comments about the other women, namely comparing Jen Shah to a “Mexican thug” and giving Asian American Jennie Nguyen a backhanded compliment about her “slanted eyes.” Let’s not forget that dig at Heather Gay’s weight. “And Heather, she’s doing all her yelling. Her little chubby self,” Cosby let off in an episode.

If that wasn’t enough, Cosby faced accusations that her Faith Temple Pentecostal Church was “like a cult” — accusations that she has denied.

Fans got their own confirmation of her departure when Meredith Marks appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, saying that Cosby was “no longer on the show,” which Andy Cohen didn’t deny.

Cosby herself hasn’t commented on the news, but has posted an Instagram post thanking fans for their “love & support.”
