Like many trends of the early aughts, what was once in style will eventually circle back around to be trendy again. From stardust eyeshadow to skinny eyebrows, the ’90s trends we all loved are fully back in style — so it was only a matter of time before bleached brows began taking over once more.
Gigi and Bella Hadid both bleached their eyebrows during Paris Fashion Week for the Givenchy show, and we’re kind of obsessed with the look. Eyebrows do frame our faces, but somehow not having them really makes your other features pop. For Gigi Hadid, the model already has platinum blonde hair, so also having light brows really draws attention to her cheekbones.

And it’s not just the Hadid sisters who are having a bold brow moment. For Interview Magazine, Kim Kardashian bleached her brows to match her blonde hair. And earlier this year, Julia Fox also debuted a set of bleached eyebrows on Instagram, writing: “Since I bleached the brow[s] I get stopped on the street way less and even tho I f*in love u guys I’m enjoying this false sense of anonymity.”
Kylie Jenner also hopped on the trend of bleached brows at Paris Fashion Week, showing off her newly lightened brows on Instagram. And at the Met Gala back in May, her sister Kendall Jenner bleached her brows for fashion’s biggest night.
While all these stars have switched up their brows for 2022, last year Lizzo had a moment when she bleached her eyebrows as well.
As the list of celebs trying out this trend continues to grow, we know one thing is for sure — the bleached brow trend isn’t going away anytime soon.
