Inside Julia Fox’s Humble Apartment: It’s Full of Nostalgia, Toys and Mice?

Our favourite fashion girl Julia Fox (known for her hilarious interviews, abstract makeup looks and infamous relationship with ye who shall not be named) has shared a TikTok tour of her NYC apartment, as PEOPLE reports — and baby, is it ever something. For someone of her public notoriety, we expected a bit more grandeur with the decor and layout – but were pleasantly surprised to see that Julia Fox kind of lives like most of us.

What does Julia Fox’s apartment look like?

Fox’s two-bedroom, one-bath apartment has a ton of ornate fixtures that feel real and personal to her as an individual outside of the celebrity space. From her Parisian-style mirrors, excessive unboxed shoe collection and mementos from friends that have passed, Julia expresses herself in every inch of this tiny apartment.

Notably, it appears that Fox’s two-year-old son, Valentino, gets the better end of the bargain here. Valentino’s room is outfitted with an endless number of toys and even a loft-style bunk bed. One fan commented “this is Valentino’s apartment,” and we couldn’t agree more. Throughout the TikTok, Julia expresses how much of the apartment (and her day to day) is dedicated to entertaining Valentino. You can feel the love Fox has for her son expressed through all the clutter and mishmash of “stuff” throughout the apartment.

Fox mentions in her TikTok that she doesn’t “like excessive displays of wealth,” citing that there’s too many big houses and too many unhoused people to be wasteful. “It’s just really wasteful when there’s so many homeless people in this country and I’m just, I’m not really like that,” she explains, according to ET Canada.

She does mention a small mouse problem, which to me isn’t the worst issue you could have in a New York apartment. Plus, Fox mentions they clean up the crumbs Valentino leaves behind, and she clarifies in her caption that it is just one mouse occupying her apartment, not a whole infestation (for you germaphobes out there).

Some fans have called out her public displays of wealth in other ways that to them feel contrary to what’s mentioned in the TikTok. To be fair though, if Versace or Jean Paul Gautier called us up asking us to wear a fitted look to a red-carpet event, would we really say no? No. We love Fox’s authenticity in this apartment tour, it feels authentic to who she is, and we already can’t get enough. More of this energy for 2023, please.
