JoJo Siwa Trades Her Signature Ponytail for a Pixie Cut — and We’re Big Fans

Fan-favourite former Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa has long been known for her signature hair — a long blonde ponytail, often topped with a huge bow. Now, however, Siwa’s made a dramatic change to her iconic look — showing off a fresh chop and a new super-short ‘do on her Instagram yesterday

The 18-year-old singer shocked fans as she parted ways with the ponytail — in an Instagram video which she captioned “Mayyyyy have done something todayyyyy” — and said hello to the pixie cut. In her Instagram stories, Siwa shared that she is “obsessed” with the cut, and is excited to experiment with new looks and ways to style it.

Following her haircut-reveal post, Siwa took to her Instagram Stories to share: “Yesterday I went for the, like, curly moment, but today I went for an up-and-back moment, but let me know what ya’ll think, I think I might be into the up and back.”

This new cut comes just months after the Dancing with the Stars alum celebrated a year of coming out as part of the LGBTQ2+ community.

At the time, Siwa had us near tears in a heartfelt message to her fans and supporters on her Instagram sharing the love she has felt: “Truthfully I feel like I was put on this earth to be a role model for kids, and letting all the kids of the world know that loving everyone for who they are no matter what is something that I will always believe in and always share.”

“Please never forget that no matter who you are, what you look like, who you LOVE, you are absolutely perfect. Thank you for showing me the most love throughout this year and throughout my entire life. I love you all,” she added.
