Awards show red carpets almost never disappoint. And while the main attraction at the Golden Globes are the movies and television shows being honoured, a close runner-up is the fashion. Last year’s Golden Globes were very different as the women of Hollywood all wore black in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement. This year, however, rather than show their unity via their sartorial choices, we saw it with bracelets and pins marked with “Time’s Up X2.” But that doesn’t mean the fashion wasn’t at the forefront. On the contrary, the stars aimed high. And there were definitely some hits, along with some misses.

Best: Sandra Oh
As co-host, Oh got to switch it up a few times (she also wore a red, low-cut, long-sleeve frock and a white dress with sparkly gold balloon sleeves) but it was what she started off the night in, this off-white gown, that brought the drama. Spectacular.

Worst: Lady Gaga
It's devastating that she's on this side of the list because the colour and cut of her gown is gorge. Not to mention that she matched her hair to it. BUT those pillowcase muffs! Dress destroyers.

Worst: Joanna Newsom
The heart on her tea-length frock might be a giant sign to show Golden Globes' co-host (and husband/baby daddy) Andy Samberg her love, but it's a little too cheese. And if only it was the colour of cheddar. Because this just washes her out.

The colour is great, but those embellished fireworks splattered on the skirt transforms the gown into one of those dresses you find in that store in the mall that no one shops in.
