Miley Cyrus is sharing that she is two weeks sober after she ‘fell off’ during the coronavirus pandemic. The star, who celebrated her 28th birthday on November 23, has been candid about her struggles with addiction.
“Well, I, like a lot of people, being completely honest, during the pandemic fell off,” she told Zane Lowe on a recent episode of Apple Music’s New Music Daily. “I would never sit here and go, ‘I’ve been f—ing sober.’ I didn’t, and I fell off and I realized that I now am back on sobriety, two weeks sober, and I feel like I really accepted that time.”
The former Disney Channel star emphasized that she is focused on moving forward, and shared that a personal mantra helps her navigate such situations.
“One of the things I’ve used is, ‘Don’t get furious, get curious.’ So don’t be mad at yourself, but ask yourself, ‘What happened?’”
The singer also talked her upcoming album, Plastic Heart, and shared a sweet look-back of her practicing lines as a child with her dad, country legend Billy Ray Cyrus.
