Status of World Liberty Index
The Status of World Liberty Index ranks countries based on the economic and personal freedoms of their citizens. In 2014, Canada ranked 10th.

Human Development Index
The UN's Human Development Index measures education, income and life expectancy. Canada ranked 8th in this year's index.

Ease of Doing Business Survey
Canada is a little further down in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business survey, but we still came in at a respectable #16.

Index of Economic Freedom
In 2014 Canada ranked 6th in the Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom.

World Press Freedom Index
Canada ranked 18th in the Reporters Without Borders 2014 World Press Freedom Index.

Corruption Perceptions Index
The Corruption Perceptions Index measures abuse of power, secret dealings and bribery. Canada ranked 9th for the least corrupt country in the world.

Global Peace Index
The Global Peace Index rates countries based on how peaceful they are. In 2014, Canada ranked 7th.

Global Happiness Report
We're a pretty happy bunch here in Canada. The most recent Global Happiness Report ranked us as the 6th happiest place in the world.

Reputation Index – Overall Reputation
After three years in top spot, Canada slipped to 2nd position overall in the Reputation Institute's 2014 Reputation Index.

According to the World Health Organization's Air Quality Index, Canada has the 3rd best air in the world.

Patriotic Survey
The University of Chicago's National Opinion Research Center ranked countries by their national pride. Canada was 6th most patriotic nation in the world.

TripAdvisor Top 10 World Parks
TripAdvisor named Vancouver's Stanley Park as the #1 park in the world.

Vogue’s 15 Coolest Neighbourhoods
Earlier this year Vogue Magazine named the West Queen West area of Toronto's Queen Street West as the second hippest neighbourhood in the world.

Global AgeWatch Index
We're all aging and Canada is a great place to do it. According to the United Nations-backed Global AgeWatch Index, we're the 5th best place in the world to grow old, thanks to our long life expectancy, healthcare system and government pension program.

International Prosperity Index
We also rank #5 on the Legatum Institute of London's 2014 International Prosperity Index. The index ranks countries by a number of factors including personal freedom, economic progress and opportunity.
