Here is some ceiling-smashing inspiration for you: Not only did she become a CEO before she was 30, but dating app founder Whitney Wolfe Herd is now the 39th “Richest Self-Made Women” in America for 2020, according to Forbes.
The list honours 100 female entrepreneurs south of the border. Believed to hold a total net worth of $575M as of September, Wolf Herd nearly doubled her valuation and climbed from the spot she held last year at 72.
Wolfe Heard was one of the co-founders of the Tinder dating app, but after leaving and filing a lawsuit for sexual harassment, she went on to found a dating app that gives women more control.
Forbes attributes the rise to an acquisition by a major American multinational, Blackstone Group Inc., with the app now having more than 100 million registered users.
