After last year’s hiatus, Amazon Canada’s biggest and best shopping event of the year — their annual Prime Day event — is returning for 2022. With this year marking’s 20th anniversary, you can expect some big promotions and savings on those items you’ve been eyeing — and even get a jump-start on back-to-school or holiday shopping for soon-to-be discounted items that you know you’ll need.

This year’s Amazon Prime Day event will take place on July 12 and 13, but you can expect to find early deals beginning June 21.

While you need an Amazon Prime membership to gain access to the deals, you can register for a free 30-day trial, and students get a discount.

The membership currently runs at $99/year or $9.99/month for Canadian subscribers without the student discount.

The membership comes with year-round perks such as free two-day and same-day shipping, access to Prime Video original TV shows (like The Summer I Turned Pretty) and movies, and free e-book and music downloads through Prime Music and Prime Reading.
