What Has Meghan King Edmonds Been up to Since Leaving RHOC?

Meghan King Edmonds left RHOC to expand her family, but even though she's no longer on our screens, she's now busier than ever. Click on to find out what she's been up to...

After three seasons on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Meghan decided to call it quits.

Meghan took to her site to post a lengthy blog outlining the ups and downs of filming a show like RHOC.

"I arrived at this multi-faceted decision after much thought...as you might suspect filming this show takes a massive emotional toll" she wrote, "But what you might not suspect is the physical toll: filming is grueling!"

Considering she had twins on the way, it's no surprise she decided to remove herself from the drama.

Meghan and her husband Jim Edmonds packed up their life in the OC and set up roots in Missouri. The couple broke ground on their brand new dream home back in February of 2018, and it looks like we might have another "chateau" on our hands.

On Tuesday June 5, 2018, Meghan gave birth to healthy twin boys named Hart and Hayes Edmonds. Meghan had a natural labor and documented the entire process on her blog.

Meghan took to Instagram to share an adorable tribute to Jimmy to commemorate their fourth anniversary by writing "We’ve been through more in four years of marriage than most do in 20 and it’s only made us stronger."

Meghan might have left her life in the OC behind, but The Daily Dish reported that she's been checking in with the newest Housewives to offer them advice.

"I chatted with Meghan King Edmonds on the phone yesterday; she's really been sweet to me and throughout the season, like, she's always hitting me up, just to encourage me and stuff," Gina Kirschenheiter told The Daily Dish. "She didn't say anything bad about anybody. She was just basically there to help me navigate through stuff if I needed it."

It looks like there are still a lot of hard feelings between Meghan and Kelly after they accused each other of having affairs on their respective husbands in 2017.

“Kelly has said some malicious, nasty things about me. I didn’t hurt my feelings, but her intent was absolutely to hurt my feelings, and I don’t like that, I don’t like malicious intent,” Meghan explained while on the Tony's Tea Corner podcast. “She did a Bravo podcast and said ‘I don’t like Meghan’ but they she hangs out with my brother and asks for a selfie? If I saw Kelly, I would say hello to her, I’m fine with it. I took a season off the show, I feel like I don’t have the same kind of feelings ruminating inside of me. I’m over everything.”

While Meghan was a guest on the Tony's Tea Corner podcast, she had no problem sharing her brutally honest opinion of Vicki Gunvalson.

“I never got to really know Vicki because I didn’t like her and I didn’t respect her,” Meghan revealed. “When you lie about cancer, that’s a big hole to dig yourself out of. Do I think she’s authentic? No. But I kind of have fun with her.”

More recently, Meghan posted this fun (and kind of shady) comparison between her and Vicki's matching reunion looks.

Meghan has been asked several times if she would return to RHOC, and her answer has always been an emphatic "Oh yeah!"

“I miss it!" Meghan explained on Tony's Tea Corner. "I think it’s very flattering that people are telling me they miss me, because I miss them!”

Unfortunately, Meghan Edmond’s son Hart was diagnosed with minor Periventricular Leukomalacia which resulted in “irreversible brain damage.” Meghan said that the brain injury explains behaviour she’s noticed that caused her to suspect something was wrong: “the rigidity in his muscles, the (somewhat) delayed physical milestones, the lack of fluidity with arm and leg movements, the stiffness in joints, the weakness in his lower back, the somewhat favored use of his right side."

Meghan has been open about the guilt she feels when she’ seeking help for Hart and spending less time with her other children. Recently Hart’s doctors have been testing stem cells from Meghan’s eldest child’s umbilical cord to see if there’s a way to alleviate her son’s condition.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County heard of cheating rumours among the couple when Kelly Dodd accused Meghan’s husband of cheating on her while she was pregnant. Even though they denied the allegations, Jim Edmonds later apologized for a “lapse in judgment” leading to an “inappropriate conversation” with an unknown woman. He insisted there was no physical contact.

In 2019, Meghan wrote an open and vulnerable blog post where she spoke about mistrusting her husband. “Do I believe him? I don’t know. Because I don’t trust him anymore,” she wrote. “Physical or not, he still had an affair and he admits this to me.”

Multiple sources have reported that on October 25 Jim filed for divorce — just after the couple's fifth wedding anniversary.
