Then and Now: How the Vanderpump Rules Stars Have Grown Up

When we first met this queen bee she was living with her boyfriend of two years, Jax Taylor; working at SUR, and helping Lisa’s daughter, Pandora, out with her fashion blog. She also dreamed of bigger and better things in the acting and modelling world, which she pursued on a more serious basis after breaking up with Jax for good and leaving the show after season two.

When Stassi returned in season five she rekindled relationships and began carving out her own path. These days she’s one of the co-owners of the wine label Witches of Weho, she has her own podcast, she’s the author of her first book, Next Level Basic, and she’s engaged to her boyfriend Beau Clark. Up next? A small wedding in Rome that, according to Stassi, will be a lot more private than her everyday life with the cameras at SUR.

Remember when Scheana was on the outs with basically everyone? It’s hard to remember the early days of the show when she was feuding with Brandi Glanville for having an affair with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s ex-husband Eddie Cibrian. Back then no one really seemed to want anything to do with her. Add in a wedding (and divorce) to musician Mike Shay and Scheana came with plenty of drama to go around.

These days Scheana is embracing the single life (and her friend-with-benefits Adam Spott), while also hosting her own podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay. She seems to be on the #adulting train, having bought her own house, and she also starred in the Vegas production of "Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man." It all seems very on-brand for her, and we’re here for it.

When the cameras clicked on for the first time at SUR, it was hard not to notice just how much Tom seemed to have his life together. He was playing in a band, he had some modelling and acting under his belt, he was besties with Jax and Tom Schwartz, and he and Kristen had been together for four years.

Today Tom is in a slightly different, although some would argue much better, place. He’s a part-owner of the fairly new bar TomTom, and he and Ariana Madix are still going strong. In fact, they recently bought a house close to some of their co-stars, further solidifying rumours that this cast is just as close off-screen as on. Meanwhile he continues to bartend at SUR with the best of them, and he’s even appeared in a handful of TV projects.

Bad-boy Jax gave us so much entertainment in the early days. When we met the bartender/model he was living with Stassi (until he cheated on her and blew up that situation), and he had some solid bromances on the show. Then he went on to date and cheat on plenty of others like Kristen Doute (while she was still dating Jax’s bestie Tom Sandoval!), causing quite the stir at the restaurant.

Fast forward to today, and Jax seems like a changed man. After a whirlwind romance he’s officially married to Brittany Cartwright, and the two are even contemplating having children. He’s also back at SUR after being briefly fired. Jax credits a lot of his changed ways to the death of his father, and the fact that Brittany stuck with him through thick and thin.

Of all the women in the show’s earlier days, Katie seemed to be the most put-together in her life. She had a steady boyfriend in Tom Schwartz, her job as a SUR server seemed pretty solid, and her friendships with Stassi and Kristen were legit… even if they did squabble a bunch in front of the cameras.

Katie and Tom made us believe in love when they took their relationship to the next level and married in 2016, a marriage that is still going strong. And on a professional level Katie continues to kill it. She’s an owner of the Witches of Weho wine alongside Stassi and Kristen, she and Tom just bought a house, and she also co-founded the beauty site Pucker and Pout. Talk about #GirlBossGoals.
