Let’s be honest: there’s a lot of pressure that goes into coming up with the perfect Real Housewives tagline. Not only does the sentence need to grab attention and set up the season to come, but it also needs to be memorable as heck… Especially since that’s what viewers will hear at the start of every single episode. In that vein, there have been some real hits and misses over the past 10 seasons of RHOBH. 10. Kyle Richards

“I’m not the richest girl in Beverly Hills, but I am the luckiest.” – season two Kyle’s happy-go-lucky attitude is always reflected in her taglines, as is the fact that she’s one of the few born-and-raised 90210-ers to be featured in the cast. However as her popularity soared in early seasons and fans everywhere coveted her lavish lifestyle, cute kids, and hot realtor hubby, this second-season tagline was pretty top notch.

9. Adrienne Maloof

“Having it all is easy if you’re willing to work for it.” – season two File this one under so bad it’s good. If we ever needed proof that Adrienne was out of touch with reality, this tagline was it. After all, the woman seemed to throw money at pretty much everything during her time with the Housewives. Did she work hard? Well, sure. But she also came from wealth and had money to burn when it came time to launching “Maloof hoofs” or a new handbag line… not to mention the lavish parties that accompanied those launches.

8. Yolanda Hadid

“Character isn’t what you have, it’s who you are.” – season five Was there ever a more stand-up Housewife than Yolanda? Before Lyme Disease took over her life, she was basically the voice of reason in every single fight (and considering she was on the show with Brandi Glanville, there were a lot of fights). She also never got drunk, she was constantly committed to her health, and she was always there for her friends—even when they were doing some questionable things (again, Brandi). This tagline was 100 per cent Yo, and it totally holds up today.

7. Eileen Davidson

“I may be an actress, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stick to your script.” – season six When this Young & The Restless star hit up the show we didn’t know what to expect. After all, Ashley (the character) is kind of a b---h. However Eileen (the person) was the exact opposite, choosing her words carefully and mostly sticking to everyone’s good side. That doesn’t mean she didn’t have her opinions, of course. And when her friends were being a bit shady (hi there, Lisa Rinna), she had no problem calling them out for it… while calmly sipping on some really dry chardonnay.

6. Dorit Kemsley

“When you travel the world, you can speak in any accent you want.” – season seven Let’s be real, how many conversations have we had about Dorit and her questionable accent at this point? The new Housewife addressed her dialect right away in the seventh season by including it in her tagline, which only ignited speculation as to whether she was faking it. Four seasons later and it doesn’t seem likely that she is, but it was definitely a memorable way to kick off a (controversial) run on the series, don’t you think?

5. Brandi Glanville

“I’d rather spend my life kicking ass than kissing it.” – season five There’s no question that Brandi took this tagline super far in her final season as a full-time Housewife. In fact, she took it literally towards the end of her run when she slapped her former bestie, Lisa Vanderpump, on that boat (seriously, what is it with these ladies and boat rides?!). Add in the wine she threw in Eileen’s face and all of the aggressive behaviour and… well, this tagline was pretty, perfectly, memorable indeed.

4. Kim Richards

“Everybody loves a comeback story, especially starring me.” – season four Even though Kim is no longer on the series full-time, we’ve long been invested in her mental and physical health. It’s true that viewers are always rooting for her to stick with her sobriety and to be that comeback story, especially when we see how great things can be with her and her sis Kyle. Luckily we tend to get updates from Kyle while also seeing Kim herself in the occasional guest-starring gig, which means this tagline is still pretty relevant today.

3. Erika Girardi

“Some people call me cold, but that’s not ice—it’s diamonds.” – season eight After repeatedly hearing how cold she was for basically the entirety of season seven, Erika decided to just embrace the frigid title the other ladies kept putting on her. But of course she added her own fabulous twist on it by reminding everyone just how confident and successful she really is, shutting up the haters once and for all.

2. Lisa Rinna

“I don’t have to buy it, because I already own it.” – season eight

Long before Rinna was throwing her long-time friend Denise Richards under the bus, she had quite the tumultuous introduction into the group. There was beef with Vanderpump, words with Kyle Richards, and then that horrific wine-glass smashing incident that eventually led to the bunny exchange with Kim Richards. Throughout it all Rinna kept telling everyone that she “owned it” and that they needed to “own it” too. By the season seven finale “own it” became an in-joke, but Rinna took it all in stride and even put it in her tagline the next year to prove that she really does have the best sense of humour about herself.

1. Lisa Vanderpump

“I’m passionate about dogs, just not crazy about bitches.” – season six Vanderpump has a wealth of hilarious taglines throughout her nine seasons with the show, and while “diamonds and rose” was a close runner-up simply because of how ridiculous (albeit memorable) it was, this one from season six made us laugh the most. Not only did it signify the official end of Vanderpump’s friendship with Brandi after all of that season four and five drama, but it set up everything to come (Puppygate, lost friendships) before she ultimately quit the series three seasons later. It seems like this queen of diamonds didn’t always have an ace up her sleeve after all.
