The Real Housewives of Miami star Julia Lemigova has shared a statement in response to her wife, Martina Navratilova’s, cancer diagnoses.

Lemigova is ready to stay optimistic in light of Navratilova’s announcement, where she shared that she’s battling both throat cancer and breast cancer, according to Page Six. Now, the reality television star has publicly reacted to her wife’s diagnoses.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to share words of support,” Lemigova reportedly wrote on Instagram alongside a photograph of herself, retired tennis player Navratilova and their dog. “Together, we will fight this.”

Lemigova received plenty of support from her RHOM costars, including heart emojis from Larsa Pippen and Lisa Hochstein. “Yes! Together we will win this battle,” Adriana de Moura commented, while Guerdy Abraira added, “We love you both and positive thoughts only.”

On Jan. 2, Navratilova revealed that, while she’s facing a tough battle, she’ll begin treatment next week.

“This double whammy is serious but still fixable, and I’m hoping for a favorable outcome,” Navratilova – who won a whopping 59 Grand Slam titles – shared in a statement to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

While Navratilova previously had breast cancer in 2010 and had a lumpectomy, she recently discovered an enlarged lymph node in her neck during the 2022 WTA Finals in November. After undergoing a biopsy, she was diagnosed with stage 1 throat cancer and, after further testing, stage 1 breast cancer. More specifically, she was diagnosed with human papillomavirus (HPV), which is one of the more treatable cancers, the WTA notes.

Navratilova also tells the WTA that, this time around, she’s received a good prognosis and she’s ready to begin her treatments next week.
