Karen and Ray Huger reportedly owed $118,000 in taxes
"Grand dame" no more?
We watched Karen and Ray Huger move out of their coveted zip code in season 2 of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and now we might have a reason as to why.
The Washington Post broke a story in July of 2017 which reported that Ray Huger, who Karen affectionately calls "the black Bill Gates," owes $1.5 million in back taxes, and his company owes over $3 million.
Karen spoke to Bravo's The Daily Dish and gave the following statement on her current situation: "[Ray] has settled, and they have a deal, and they're good. So we're in a great place, and I'm grateful."

Margaret is another RHONJ Housewife who's found herself in trouble with the IRS. Reports started coming out in 2017 that Margaret and her husband Joe were hit with a massive tax lien of almost $200,000 back in 2012.
While Margaret never confirmed a number, she did confirm that she was handed a hefty tax bill in 2012. “Years ago in 2012, I definitely had a very big tax bill. That’s when that tax bill was from, and we had a payment plan and we’re paying it all along,” Margaret explained. “Our taxes are current and we’ve always been paying them."
