Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are cover stars. The couple graced the cover of TIME magazine this week, as part of the outlet’s list of the 100 most influential people of the year.
In the latest issue, chef José Andrés penned a touching tribute to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about their charity work. “They turn compassion into boots on the ground through their Archewell Foundation. They give voice to the voiceless through media production,” he wrote. “Hand in hand with nonprofit partners, they take risks to help communities in need — offering mental-health support to Black women and girls in the U.S., and feeding those affected by natural disasters in India and the Caribbean.”

The cover marks the first time the couple has posed together formally for a magazine cover. Although we think Meghan looks stunning in a cream jumpsuit and Harry looks sweet standing behind her, some were quick to drag the photos, and the two royals, over their poses.
I honestly cannot. The live emasculation of Prince Harry continues.
I would never want my husband to be embarrassed like this in front of the world.
Just so pathetic. https://t.co/vbY3GhUwme— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) September 15, 2021
Why is he standing behind her ..it should be the other way around….and they by no means influencial.

At first I thought this was fake. Prince Harry is a prop or afterthought in this Megan pic. She in front in white, him behind her in the back ground in black. He looks like he is hiding and scared. Where Megan is strong. I can’t believe Harry posed for this. He looks so weak.

While the haters were always going to find a way to try and bring down the couple, others were thrilled with the piece and the photos. Some event pointed out that one cute snap was almost identical to a pic of the two on their 2018 New Zealand trip where they held hands in a forest.
While there will always be the trolls that have something negative to say about the duke and duchess, the TIME cover proves that they’re still succeeding despite the racism, family drama and more, all while using their power to give back and help others.
Andrés touched on their empathy and their drive again in his essay: “In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the Duke and Duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know,” he wrote. “They don’t just opine. They run toward the struggle.”
We love to see it!
