Following Sarah Jessica Parker’s announcement that a Sex and the City revival is in the works, we learned that one of the series’ most ground-breaking leads will not be returning. Now, it looks like Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) is not the only key character that won’t be making an appearance in the newest take, And Just Like That.
Apparently, according to Page Six, alum Chris Noth will not be returning to the series, and with him goes the Mr. Big role SJP’s Carrie Bradshaw pined over for much of the series’ six-season run. While Noth appeared in both of the movies (and plenty of steamy on-screen sex scenes), he has yet to chime in on the news.
SJP, for her part, playfully addressed the topic of her on-screen hubby re-appearing in a January Instagram post, simply opting for a “wait and see.”

Page Six also said Miranda’s love interest, Steve Brady (portrayed by David Eigenberg) will not be back.
The series, set to film this spring in New York City, will stream on HBO Max.
