Ah, celebrity crushes. It’s almost a rite of passage to plaster the face of your Hollywood crush all over your bedroom wall as a kid. If nothing else, you could gaze longingly at it, while waiting for the day when the two of your could finally cross paths and they’d sweep you off your feet. However, 99.9 per cent of us aren’t as lucky as Machine Gun Kelly in making that dream a reality.

Much like Katie Holmes admitting she’d had a childhood crush on future hubby Tom Cruise (back when, you know, they actually liked each other and Scientology wasn’t a factor), Kelly has admitted to having a mega-crush on his GF Megan Fox when he was in high school.

In the July issue of GQ, the “Bad Things” singer revealed many of his dreams and aspirations growing up: one of which was to marry the Transformers star.

The piece states that, “[Machine Gun Kelly was] the teenager who got the Decepticons logo from Transformers tattooed on his arm” and even “hung a poster of Megan Fox in his bedroom.”

The poster in question even originally appeared in GQ. “So that’s some full-circle sh*t,” Kelly added.

According to GQ‘s Wesley Lowery, who wrote the profile and went to high school with Kelly (real name: Colson Baker), “at least one classmate recalls [Kelly] vowing he’d marry [Fox] one day.”

Kelly, 31, and Fox, 35, went Instagram official in July 2020, after she appeared in his “Bloody Valentine” music video. Since then, the couple have become a red carpet fixture, wearing outlandish outfits, sporting black tongues and making out at every possible opportunity.

In a recent profile on Fox in InStyle, Kelly said, “I don’t think people get the opportunity to believe in real, great love, and that’s what we have together.” Kelly shares a 12-year-old daughter, Casie, with ex Emma Cannon, while Fox shares three sons with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

Whether you’re into all their graphic public displays of affection or not, it’s hard to deny that we’re all harbouring a little bit of jealousy over the fact that Kelly ended up with his ultimate teenage crush.
