Controversial Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute is making her return to the show in the wake of Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ cheating scandal.

Earlier this month, Bravo announced that the reality TV star would come back to VPR, although she had been previously fired from the show alongside Stassi Schroeder over a racist incident with their co-star Faith Stowers.
“There was this article on Daily Mail where there was an African American lady. It was a weird photo, so she looked very light-skinned and had these different, weird tattoos,” Stowers explained of the incident at the time, according to People. “They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people. And [Doute and Schroeder] called the cops and said it was me. This is like, a true story. I heard this from actually Stassi during an interview.”
Both Doute and Schroeder later took to Instagram to release lengthy apologies, as Page Six has previously reported.
“I have been taking some time to process what I’ve been seeing, feeling and learning,” Doute wrote. “And I need to address something specifically that happened a few years ago with my former castmate, Faith Stowers.”
“Although my actions were not racially driven, I am now completely aware of how my privilege blinded me from the reality of law enforcement’s treatment of the Black community, and how dangerous my actions would have been to her. It never was my intention to add to the injustice and imbalance. I’m ashamed, embarrassed, and incredibly sorry. I will do better. I have to do better.”
Now, however, Doute will be returning to the series, helping Sandoval’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix as she processes the scandal. Madix and Sandoval had been together for nine years before news broke about Sandoval and Leviss’ shocking affair.

According to ET Canada, Bravo announced Doute’s return by posting an old photo of her alongside the caption, “Spotted: Kristen Doute filming for this season of #PumpRules.”
Doute has been vocal about the infidelity multiple times on her podcast, even detailing what happened.
“During Tom [Sandoval’s] performance, his phone fell out of his pocket or something — a mutual friend — picks up his phone, hands it to Ariana … Ariana had his phone and she told me that she just had this gut intuition to look at it,” Doute said.
Although Doute added that the pair was usually “a trusting couple,” she claims that Madix “just felt like she had to look.” When she did, she found that “he had screen recorded a FaceTime of him and Raquel masturbating with each other. That’s the truth.”
