It feels like just yesterday that we were asking ourselves if Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian’s relationship was a publicity stunt — but we no longer think so. The couple is now both Instagram and event official, as the SNL actor and comedian came out to support his girlfriend at the premiere of her new series, The Kardashians (which will debut on Hulu on April 14).

Pete and Kim’s relationship: a brief timeline so far
We’ve been following this pair since October of 2021, when Kardashian hosted an episode of SNL and the two — playing the characters of Jasmine and Aladdin – shared quite the kiss. From the on-screen kiss to holding hands on a roller coaster ride that same month, we instantly fell in love with the idea of the two actually being a couple IRL. As the story of Jasmine and Aladdin suggests, wishes sometimes come true.
Though the relationship has been made apparent in the past few months — on Kardashian’s Instagram, in paparazzi shots and in interviews — the two have never attended an official or red-carpet event together until yesterday’s The Kardashians premiere. The couple arrived hand-in-hand for their official first public appearance, with Kardashian wearing a beautiful Mugler metallic dress paired with a matching set of bracelets and a choker, while Davidson sported a black suit with a white T-shirt and chunky black sunglasses.

Kardashian and Davidson’s relationship has been more in the spotlight than ever recently. In a Good Morning America special that aired Wednesday night, interviewer Robin Roberts sat down with the older generation of the Kar-Jenner family (Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney) to explore the dynamic between the Kardashian women and what came to be the “Kardashian Inc.”
In this interview, the SKIMS founder and beauty icon confirmed what we all wanted to hear: she is happy. “I mean, I am a relationship kind of girl for sure, and I wouldn’t be with someone if I didn’t plan on being with them for a long time,” she said. “Obviously I want to take my time, but I am very happy and very content and it’s such a good feeling to just be at peace,” she added.
It has been a long year for Kim K, as we’ve been watching her divorce and drama with her ex, Kanye West, unfold over Instagram — and needless to say, we are happy that Kim’s happy.
