Welcome to the “werkroom,” Justin Trudeau. The trailer for the new Canada’s Drag Race spinoff series, Canada vs. the World, has teased that the Canadian Prime Minister will be a guest on the show – making him the first world leader to appear on any Drag Race franchise.
Hosted by Brooke Lynn Hytes, Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World will see nine queens from around the globe competing across six episodes.

Following RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World, this marks the second international Drag Race crown, but that’s not the only accolade the series has got going for it. With Trudeau’s appearance as a special guest, the show is making waves as the first time a world leader has appeared on any show in the Drag Race universe.
Trudeau may be the first world leader on the series, but U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi did make an appearance on an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
The Canadian Prime Minister isn’t the only special guest this season. In fact, Canada’s Drag Race season 1 winner Priyanka will judge alongside guest judges like Monét X Change, Anjulie, Hollywood Jade, Jeanne Beker, Joe Zee, Sarain Fox and Gary Janetti.
According to Entertainment Weekly, competitors include Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Ra’Jah O’Hara, Icesis Couture, Stephanie Prince, Kendall Gender, Rita Baga, Vanity Milan, Victoria Scone and Anita Wigl’it.

Will Trudeau have the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to stand alongside some of the best drag queens in the world? No T, no shade, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
