Congratulations are in order for Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright – they just announced they are engaged!
Brittany took to social media to share the exciting news and proudly put her massive new ring on display. “Omg omg!!!!!!!! We are ENGAGED! What a way to start our summer and season 7!!,” Brittany wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed! I am the happiest girl ever right now. love can win.”
Jax was equally as excited to share the news on his Instagram, writing “She said yes!!! I can’t wait for y’all to see how this happened next season!!! I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!!”
The jaw-dropping ring was designed by celebrity jewelery designer Kyle Chan. Jax shared a few details about the ring on his Instagram saying, “my amazing friend/brother @kylechandesign knocked it out of the park on this ring. I told him a few details but I trusted him and as you can see he came through above and beyond. When I decided to do this he was the only one I wanted to design Brittany’s ring and this is why.. flawless Kyle absolutely flawless.”
As we all watched last season, Jax and Brittany hit a bumpy patch in their relationship when Jax was exposed for cheating on Brittany with a former SUR employee. As the fallout from Jax’s infidelity played out on air, we saw the couple break up briefly before getting back together just in time for the reunion episode.
It’s been a rough year for Jax as he lost his father to cancer just a few days after this past Christmas. During the season 6 reunion, Jax described how he couldn’t have made it through the loss of his father without Brittany’s support, saying that “ever since then I can’t imagine myself without her.”
Jax and Brittany have been dating for three years and once they get married, they will join Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz as the only other married couple on the cast of Vanderpump Rules.
With the news of this engagement, season 7 of Vanderpump Rules is already shaping up to be a memorable one!
