How Vicki’s Changed from Season 1 to Season 12

Tagline: "I don't want to get old"

When we first met this powerful mother of two she was still married to her second husband, Don, and was running a thriving insurance company — but she never let that get in the way of her having a good time and "whooping it up."

Vicki probably never could have guessed how huge The Real Housewives would become.

Tagline: "Here's to not being fake!"

Vicki added some beachy waves to hair and looked relatively laid-back while she spent the majority of season trying to balance her working life with her family life.

Tagline: "Everything's got to be huge, large and grand."

Three seasons into the show, Vicki was as confident and successful as we've ever seen her. While her insurance company continued to expand, we started to see the toll her professional success was having on her marriage.

This was also the season Tamra Barney joined the show, and when Vicki's relationship with Jeana Keough started to deteriorate.

Tagline: "I want the power and the money, and i want them both."

As her relationship with Don unraveled on camera, Vicki uttered her famous line about how her "love tank" was empty.

This was also the season Vicki launched her L.I.F.E. with Vicki cruise... and we're still trying to figure out why.

Tagline: "I love my family, I love my work, I love my life."

Armed with a tagline that made it seem like she had everything together, Vicki tried to shift her focus to her family and desperately attempted to hold on to her relationship with Don.

The departure of Jeana Keough in episode 3 meant that Vicki was the only remaining original cast member (a title she's been clinging on to ever since).

Tagline: "I make my own money, and I make my own rules."

This was the year Vicki stopped playing around and showed us who's really in charge. By the end of this season Vicki welcomed some major changes to her life and filed for divorce from Don.

Tagline: "My tank is full, and I'm driving into my future."

Fresh off of her separation from Don, we were served a new Vicki Gunvalson in season seven. To mark the changes in her life, Vicki had a fresh new look and brand new man — the now-infamous Brooks Ayers.

While this should have been a season of new beginnings, it turned out to be the start of the messiest chapter in Vicki's RHOC tenure.

At this point in the series Tamra and Vicki's bond was closer than ever after their recent divorces, but suspicions about Brooks started to cause a major rift between the then-besties.

All Vicki wanted was support from her friends, but the season seven finale saw Tamra launching into Brooks at a party and telling Vicki: "don't let him tell you what to think!"

Tagline: "I'm my own boss, and it's time for a raise."

It's no secret that Vicki had some major work done before the season started filming. As the story goes, Vicki thought she was going to have enough time for her face to heal, but when production for the season was pushed forward, her surgery became an unavoidable part of her storyline.

As her dedication to Brooks showed no signs of slowing down, Vicki's relationships with Tamra and her daughter became increasingly strained. (Speaking of Brianna, this was the season we saw her become a new mom, and Vicki become a grandma!)

Tagline: "I make my own rules, so don't expect me to follow yours."

With her divorce from Don final, Vicki continued to show everyone she didn't care about their opinion and carried on with her relationship with Brooks.

This dedication to Brooks ultimately drove Brianna out of the OC.

Tagline: "I'm the OG of the OC, everyone else is just a copy."

A decade into her role as a Real Housewife, Vicki was faced with her hardest season yet.

While everyone was questioning the legitimacy of Brooks' cancer, Vicki was dropped in the center of scandal that put her at odds with every single one of her fellow Housewives.

Tagline: "Before you judge me, you better be perfect."

This was the season Vicki finally dropped Brooks, but the damage to her relationships had already been done.

The OG was forced to eat humble pie and apologize her way back onto the good side of her fellow Housewives. While some of the ladies eventually warmed up to her again halfway through the season, her relationships with Tamra and Shannon entered their darkest period yet.

Tagline: "I go big or go home – and I am not going home!"

After a season of intense tension between Tamra and Shannon, Vicki was able to turn things around at the reunion. When Shannon announced that she would be divorcing David, it brought out genuine feelings of regret in Vicki, and both Tamra and Shannon agreed to put the conflict behind them.

Tagline: "The fun-bus is leaving, and this time I'm in the driver's seat."

Vicki came into this season saying she just wants to have fun and stay out of the drama, and that's exactly what she did...until she angered Kelly Dodd by setting up Kelly's ex-husband with one of her friends. Vicki was so close to coming out of an entire season without being involved in anything dramatic. Better luck next time, Vic!
