Here’s What Gretchen Rossi Has Been up to Since Leaving RHOC

After 4 years of trying, Gretchen and Slade are expecting. Gretchen took to Instagram to share the exciting news with the world. "Our hearts are so full right now!! It was one of the happiest days of my life when we received the incredible news that I was pregnant!!! It has been the hardest secret in the world to keep," Gretchen wrote. "It has been a very arduous long four years of trying with plenty of heartache along the way but we remained hopeful and faithful."

Gretchen underwent IVF treatments in hopes of starting a family with her years-long fiancé Slade Smiley (more on their relationship in sec!). The former Housewife was always very public about the process, in part to counter the perception that older Hollywood moms are getting pregnant naturally. “Many celebrities in Hollywood glamorize the ability to have babies way up into your late 40s and the truth is that some of them are not telling the full story,” Rossi told People. “A lot of women in their 40s are getting pregnant using an egg donor and not disclosing this. This is why we find it important to encourage women who are either career-focused or think they can just get pregnant way into their 40s to consider freezing their eggs while they are younger.”

When Gretchen joined the parade of Housewives all stars who appeared on Watch What Happens Live in the spring of 2018, fans noticed she looked a little different. Many figured she had a breast enhancement, but Gretchen says the change was actually a result of the hormone shots she's taken for her IVF treatment – an unintended side effect she called a "50 dollar boob job" during an appearance on TMZ.

Gretchen was awarded more than half a million dollars in early 2018 after a seven year legal battle with her former acquaintance Jay Photoglou. Jay had accused Gretchen of being unfaithful to her late fiancé Jeff Beitzel and, according to People, threatened her, stole from her and released nude pictures of her. I decided enough was enough and to stand up against this individual because, although the legal system is extremely expensive, it was about the principal of making clear that, “No, it’s not ok to threaten, stalk, or harass a women just because you did not get what you wanted”. In a Facebook post following the judgement in her favour, Gretchen wrote, "This fight was not about winning money (no amount of money can ever make right what he did) I fought this fight not only for myself but for all the women out there who have been harassed or threatened & for those who were too afraid to speak up, or could not have their voice heard."

During Gretchen's final season of RHOC, she famously staged an elaborate proposal to Slade that saw her husband-to-be arrive to a rooftop via a helicopter. Five years later, they've yet to walk down the aisle. During an appearance on The Tomorrow Show in 2017, Gretchen said she and Slade want a big wedding, but it doesn't make financial sense to splash out on their dream nuptials while they're trying to have a baby.

In June 2017, Gretchen announced she'd sold her fashion and beauty business Gretchen Christine to the cosmetics brand Dastmalchi. She's still continued to work with the label and promote it online and at events and it seems like she maintained a senior role following the purchase. In the post Gretchen wrote, "Many said I would never make it, many doubted my ability to survive, some even made fun of my business on international television...if I had ever listened to the naysayers and let the people who were trying to destroy me or my business get to me I could have never built my business to a place where another company would want to acquire it."

When she's not working on Gretchen Christine, Gretchen's working out in her in-home gym. She recently revealed her workout routine, which she does three to four times a week at the gym in her garage. The routine includes exercise bands, 10-15lb weights for arm exercises and a round of floor exercises, including sit ups, push ups and "booty work."

We were shocked when Gretchen showed up on season 12 with her former enemy Vicki. Turns out Gretchen reached out to Vicki after her mom passed away and the two struck up a friendship. As of last fall, things were good between them.

Gretchen and Kelly have managed to carve out a feud despite never holding an orange at the same time, which makes us wish they were on RHOC together. Their drama started – where else? – on Insta and quickly spiralled out of control. Kelly brought up Slade's name in a comment about ratings, which ignited a fiery back and forth that saw Kelly tell Gretchen she's never going to have a baby with Slade because his "genetics are whacked." (!!!) Apparently they've made up since, though, because they were looking super friendly in this picture, taken a few months later during a night out in L.A.

Other than the fever dream of season six, when they were briefly attached at the hip, Gretchen and Tamra have long been mortal enemies. The feud extended past Gretchen's time on the show to the summer of 2017, when she inserted herself into Tamra's family drama with her daughter Sidney. After Sidney publicly criticized her mom, Gretchen commented on the teenager's Instagram post, thanking her for "speaking her truth." Tamra – duh – wasn't having any of that and clapped back promptly, writing, that Gretchen was "the biggest piece of sh*t" she'd ever met. That wasn't even the worst of it, though. She signed off, “Move on with your sad empty childless life you thirsty wannabe."

So, would Gretchen ever return to RHOC full-time? In our hearts, we know the answer is OBVIOUSLY, but she told KTLA the show would have to pay her a lot of money to "go back to the crazy."

Though she's (allegedly) hesitant to return to RHOC, Gretchen is definitely interested in returning to reality TV in some capacity. She revealed in a Q+A in spring 2018 that she and Slade recently filmed a sizzle reel for a potential reality show for an unnamed network.
