Giving Tuesday: These Canadian Retailers are Giving Back

Saje Wellness Giving Tuesday
Saje Wellness

Giving Tuesday is here! With Black Friday and Cyber Monday in the rearview, we’re shifting focus to raising awareness of meaningful issues you can contribute to.

If you’re fortunate enough to have participated in the deals that took place over the past several days, but have a few more items to check off your list, here are five retailers that are putting a portion of their proceeds to various social causes.

Of course, if the inflation has hit you hard and you’re on a budget, there are other ways to participate in giving to social causes too

Gift ideas that support women’s rights

HIRRS everyday high rise
HIRRS

Our top pick:

Everyday High Rise, HIRRS, $22.

The inclusive performance bodywear line will be donating a portion of sales proceeds to the National Abortion Federation Canada (NAF Canada), with a special focus to the Dr. Morgentaler Patient Assistance Fund, a fund that helps pregnant people in Canada whose abortion care is not covered by provincial or territorial health insurance or who have to incur travel expenses in accessing abortion care.

By donating to this fund, each purchase made will go to help pregnant people in Canada access the safe, high-quality abortion care they need. “At HIRRS we envision a future for women that is marked by change and equality and a critical component of this future is to ensure that women have agency over their bodies,” Elizabeth Davey and Lacey Norton, HIRRS founders, said in a press release. “Given the recent reversal of women’s rights taking place south of the border, we are reminded of the importance in ensuring women have safe access to procedures directly related to their bodies and their futures.”
