Can love SUR-vive on Vanderpump Rules?

Let's start off with a couple that actually has a shot: Tom and Ariana. Love length: They've been official since the end of season two.

Tom and Ariana are actual reasonable human beings...at least by VPR standards. They’re calm, collected and avoid the groupthink the rest of the cast is plagued by. They’re a good fit! Plus, with Tom around Ariana will never want for beauty supplies.

Tom wants to put a ring on it, but Ariana’s not that kind of girl. Tom seems to be dreaming of a white picket fence, and if that’s what he truly wants, Ariana won’t be the one to give it to him.

We’ve seen Tom and Ariana bicker here and there, but compared to their fellow SURvers’ tumultuous relationships, this one is rock solid. Place your bets on Tom and Ariana end game.

The stats: Jax and Brittany began dating at the start of season four.

Jax finally someone to finally put up with his garbage behaviour! Brittany’s able to love Jax despite his (many) flaws as a boyfriend. He needs to hold on to this one.

Jax isn’t cheating on Brittany like he has with all of his past girlfriends (that we know of). So that’s...something. But it’s high time he ends all this make-me-a-sandwich caveman garbage.

The odds are about even on this one. This is certainly the most stable relationship we’ve seen Jax in. But Jax is still Jax, so we’re probably a season away from him turning this relationship into a dumpster fire in the SUR back alley.

Stats: James and Raquel just started dating this season.

Raquel’s pretty? Honestly, that’s the only thing this relationship has going for it.

James definitely (allegedly) cheated on Raquel. But she seems willing to look the other way, so long as she stays on TV.

James will be spitting on Raquel’s front door by the start of season six.

The stats: This is a newbie couple, too. They just started dating this season.

Kristen is less crazy in this relationship than any other we’ve seen her in. She’s projecting that crazy onto other people’s relationships instead, but Kristen is Kristen, so this is progress.

We’ve seen this play out already with Tom and James: first Kristen’s boyfriend totally defers to her, then after all the resentment he’s buried away comes to a simmer, the relationship implodes. Kristen is a gas can and her boyfriends are a match stick.

Listen, we’d love to say Kristen’s a changed woman and this one will last. But LOL. Come on, really?

The stats: Tom and Katie are the OG couple of VPR. They were dating way back when the show began.

They got married. So they're stuck in this no matter what we think.

Well, Tom cheated. And Tequila Katie comes out to scream at him every time she drinks. And they were in literal screaming matches in the weeks leading up to their wedding. So...yeah.

Tom and Katie seem miserable, but they also seem in it for the long haul. Tom's doomed to sit alone while Katie passive aggressively eats salad in the other room. True love!
