As if the pressure to measure up to unrealistic beauty ideals wasn’t challenging enough, women also have to endure judgement, accusations or scrutiny for getting cosmetic work done.
Add post-baby weight into the mix, and this is what Below Deck‘s Hannah Ferrier has had to deal with after a fan commented on her recent Instagram post.

“It doesn’t happen very often these days, but I still love feeling like a woman every now and then instead of just a mum!” the 34-year-old reality star wrote to accompany a selfie.

Despite the confidence-embracing post, trolls slammed her for getting work done, accusing her of using too much filler.
Another user wrote, “OMG, what the hell happened to your face? I hope that’s a filter.”
Ferrier wrote back, responding: “How f*cked is it?!?! I’ve put on weight due to a baby and an injury that occurred during birth and now I’m disgusting and have had so much work done!!!!” She added: “I’ve never had fillers in my life.”
Thankfully, others came to her defense, commenting, “She had a baby and her face is fuller! The comments on here are disgusting, especially coming from other women.” Others wrote compliments, telling her she’s beautiful.
Ferrier welcomed baby girl Ava with fiancé Josh Roberts in October 2020, and has been open about the difficult birthing process.
Kudos to those who defended Ferrier from her online attackers. Here’s to the women who jump in to stand up for each other, and work to break the toxic patterns that reduce their worth.
